Barclay Boy 0 Posted February 1, 2010
Iwan always played with his back to goal whereas Holt likes to get a run onto the ball.
Not always. They are both strong and are good in the air. A lot of people seem to be worried about his lack of pace but didn''t stop Iwan scoring in the champ.I wouldn''t say Holt never plays with his back to goal. He will do fine provided he gets the service, same with any decent striker. I can''t believe all these posts about Holts ability. Probably the same bunch that said Iwan would never cut it when he signed from Wolves....Have some faith people and give the guy a chance!
Steak&Ale 0 Posted February 1, 2010 Grant Holt would be perfect in the champ so long as he is injury free.
Buncey 1 Posted February 1, 2010 Two things:1. Can he improve his game mentally. Movement, cunning and positioning, the things a good target man like Iwan mastered.2. Can he winning balls from crosses (and can we provide those crosses)Why? Because I do fear that on the floor Holt my struggle more in the championship than he does currently, and I think he needs to add more to his aerial game to improve his effectiveness in the higher leagues.
