Leeds Fixtures for rest of Jan

Recommended Posts

Carlisle         HTottenham    ASwindon       AColchester    HOk, the first two are irrelevant but there is still a chance of injuries, and they are two good teams so not winning in these two would mean no win in four. As for the others, I wouldn''t fancy going away to Swindon at the minute if I was a Leeds fan, (thank god i''m not!) and Col U at home, well surely they can''t possible as bad as they were against us, so I feel the ''Leeds Blip'' is well and truly in motion. I know I shouldn''t get too involved with other teams, as we all know, if we maintain our current form then we will go up no problem. Also, just noticed they have three away games in a row at the start of Feb. By the end of Feb we could have a nice little cushion! Long, long way to go yet but what do you all think?

I think they will get 1 point out of the league games a draw with Col U.
I think Charlton have the opportunity to close right up to Leeds too and may now be our biggest rivals.
Charlton play their game in hand on us on Tuesday - Hartlepool at home and then have Leyton Orient at home next Monday...with Leeds not playing a league game it looks like Charlton will be level on points with Leeds having played 2 games more. Hopefully we will win whichever game we have on Saturday and it will be a three way tie for top spot!

I would have to say as a leeds fan, that doesnt worry me too much.

ideally we''d go out of the cup to spurs, having given a good account of ourselves, beat carlisle (seriously think it will be a us v saints in jpt final). we''ll beat col u, and swindon will be a toughy but we wont lose it.

Flattered by the attention we''re getting, but i''d like to politely remind the OP that we are as likely to get injuries as u are, and it will remain close. we''re a bit different this year under grayson, and i dont expect this "blip" to last long

I''d rather concentrate on OUR fixtures. And frankly theres no one that gives me massive concern, Leeds included.Could we go the rest of the season unbeaten??

i see what you''re trying to say mate but exeter was, admittedly a bad game, just one game. We beat you lot at our place, and you being second doesn''t mean we will beat everyone at ER.

We should be back in a better place, i honestly don''t think this will be a big blip.

I hope anyway!!!

I hope it is true but it is worth remembering that the pressure will then swing on to us. It is far easier to chase than to be the one on top who everybody is shooting at.

Having said that, I have faith that Lambert will keep the squad focused and we should be able to handle it.

Although the pressure will remain on Leeds throughout the season as this is their third attempt at promotion I expect ourselves and them to go up in the automatic places. I will sound a cautionary note though, Charlton remain right on our tails - they are out of the limelight and have a manager with experience of getting promotion. In all honesty, we are actually do a bit of a wobble ourselves and they are well placed to take advantage if it goes on more than a game or two. Would like to see somebody snap up a couple of their players (eg Shelvey) in this window .
