nutty nigel 7,528 Posted January 20, 2010 Greetings PUPs and welcome to week twenty four of the free bet season. This week it’s our good friend and free bet veteran Shack Attack in charge and making the final selections. Shack has been with us on here right from the start and I reckon if I could ever find the time to do a combined table over the three seasons he’d be pretty close to top. Not just a consistent picker, always up around 80%, but an interesting poster too with a wide knowledge of the game and a great sense of humour. In fact I’d call him “a diamond”. Shack is good but he will need all us PUPs to find winning naps to help him be successful. Hopefully there will be an even wider choice to choose from this week with domestic FA Cup and League action as well as leagues throughout Europe. We have to still keep an eye on the weather but you have all been so good at that. Far better than me because I managed to nap a game that was postponed in Belgium last week.[:$] I’m looking ahead to February for the rota now and provisionally have allocated the dates as follows :- Feb 6th - Berkshire CanaryFeb 13th - Pboro_CanaryFeb 20th - Sports Desk - PeteFeb 27th - Yankee Canary Please let me know if those dates are ok. I can always facilitate a change if necessary. So I’ll hand the free bet over to Shack Attack now. As always there’s no pressure, because we are all going to be doing our best to help you get your name in the Free Bet Hall of Fame. We all stand together with the single aim of raising money for our great clubs academy. No blame and no shame on the free bet pages. So take it away Shack... the free bet is yours..............[:)]......... I leave you with Ray''s signature which now reads: - Carve their names with pride.Yankee,3,Fellas,3,P''boro,Mr Chops,NewYork, Inch High, Blahblahblah, NCFC_Shaun, 1st Wazzock, Fonejacker, Norfolkbroadslim, yes Norfolkchance1 £755 for the Academy,so far. norfolkbroadslim 223 Posted January 20, 2010 Celtic let me down terribly last week so steering clear of Scotland. There is not too much about that I fancy this weekend. It''s come down to two for me Norwich and Real Madrid. Not an easy decision, Real''s opponents Malaga are the away draw specialists in the league and Brentford have won their last two away league games. My nap this week is -Norwich vs Brentford - Norwich to win. A really close one to call. But I really cannot see Brentford winning 3 away games on the bounce and certainly not against us because "oh, oh, oh Norwich City''s on Fire".Good luck everyone, best of luck Shack[:)][Y]

fonejacker 0 Posted January 20, 2010 Believe me, I feel your pain norfolkbroadslim. I have been caught out by the SPL before, I knew not to pick Celtic, the missus told me not to, and what did I do?So, it''s time to change tactics. As I''m nearer to the top of the league table than the bottom, I might as well try and stay there, so less of the Iraqi or Kuwait League picks from me from now on. I will of course still try my best for the week''s dedicated picker, of course. This week it''s....Real Madrid vs Malaga -home winEnough said. [:D]

I am a Banana 0 Posted January 20, 2010 Evenin'' All!Ok, ive had a look and found my draw for this week. I know that the Fa Cup causes a shock but i think im safe of a shock, and last week I went for the early Kick Off and it was reliable for me, so this week i will again go for the 12.45 match between Reading and Burnley to Draw.Reading have knocked out Liverpool to get to the 4th round of this wonderful comp, and Burnley who beat MK Dons away so it just seems like a draw [;)] Good luck SA [;)]
Cosmic Twin 189 Posted January 20, 2010 I''m going for a home win for Cove Rangers v. Fort William.Cove Rangers are W7 D1 L0 F28 A12 at home and Fort William are W1 D0 L7 F4 A34 away. There have been very few Highland League games this year due to the weather, so if this is postponed I''ll go for a home win for Ross County v. Trent Canary 0 Posted January 21, 2010 Sorry to leave one until the monday night, but ill go with Charlton over Leyton Orient, partly on the basis of Charltons good form, but partly on the basis that I would be very happy with getting this one wrong! Legend Iwan 30 Posted January 21, 2010 I''m going to go for Norwich again. They''ve turned my percentages around in the last couple of weeks after an awful couple of weeks - being at home and in the knowledge that we could take the top spot I expect the lads to really go for the win this weekend.
