Ok Helveg gave away the first goal, they only had 3 shots on target, they were just clincal and superb!Did anyone really think that we would go to Chelsea, given our current away form, and honestly expect to get something from the match!?!?! i''m just waiting for the Worthy out comments now and everyone to start saying we are definitly down now!!!!!!!! They are a quality side but even Jose Mourinho said we had more of the ball in the first half. The thing that p***ed me off the most was simple, basic errors which you wouldn''t expect from acadamy boys. Things like looking when you pass, finding your man, not getting caught in possession and actually jumping at corners were not seen todayIt''s better we get these kind of mistakes over when we play un-winable games like this. Tilt 12 Posted December 19, 2004 It was exasperating watching the game and seeing our players rush passes and misplace quite a few. Helveg and the Doc were not the only ones who were guilty of this. I thought at lot of positives could be drawn though...Edworthy kept Robben more anonymous than I thought he would be, Bentley looked lively and I thought Safri played well, winning the ball on lots of occasions and putting in some good tackles.Clearly we gave away two very cheap goals - The problem was every Norwich fan in that ground realised it would be a goal as soon as Helveg lost the ball - you could hear a collective groan. Same with the second - but as another poster has mentioned - it''s good we gave these goals away to a team that would have beaten us at least 2-0. The third goal was amazing. What does concern me was that it was obvious that if they had a corner, Drogba would get on the end of it. He was winning headers against Flem and Jonson since he came on. Was i the only one who noticed that once again we failed to have anybody on the front post. This is not the first time this season we have defended with one of the posts left free. cole harvey 0 Posted December 19, 2004 I was at stamford bridge yesterday and i thought that norwich were pretty good going forward but as others mentioned helveg was poor and docherty may be tall and good with his head but his feet are terrible , i am so glad that we have greeno because our central defence has been poor most of the year.i was encouraged with the way that bently took on world class midfielders what a shame francis wasnt there against lampard .we must all be realistic we were facing a side that has the same amount in wage bills a week that we have to spend in the january sales ! the football was entertaining we tried to play football but were punished by probably the best side in europe at the moment.also was anyone else stuck on the train for 2hrs too , what a nightmare i got back to norfolk at 11 pm !!!otbc Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
