TheGoogler 604 Posted January 6, 2010 Sorry for starting a new thread - but it seems to me as if Lambert is close to getting his man, and from the claws of some big(ger) clubs as well;http://www.southlondon-today.co.uk/tn/Sport.cfm?id=201&headline=Lions
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted January 6, 2010 Interesting, thanks for the link [Y]
shefcanary 2,955 Posted January 6, 2010 Interesting detail in the report - same fee as Posh, butnowhere near fees quoted elsewhere today. Lambo / McNally machine producing results again!
Sheffield uni Canary 0 Posted January 6, 2010 Would be a quality signing if he can overcome his injury. How far his he from being match fit?
Jim Smith 2,610 Posted January 6, 2010 I think he may have already had it. either way sounds promising and hopefully will all be done and dusted tomorrow.
Lambert is King 0 Posted January 6, 2010 This is amazing - where is all our money coming from suddenly?
WeAreYellows49 0 Posted January 6, 2010 That''s a good question, me and hubby spoke just now about that, two news players contracted, and maybe one more on the way hmmmmm might have to do a bit of sniffing round and asking favours lol
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted January 6, 2010 He hasn''t played for Millwall this season due to being exiled after turning down a new deal. He has played a few reserve games so i''m assuming he''ll be available for selection from the moment he''s signed.
Canary Man of Kent 0 Posted January 6, 2010 If we sign whitbread, does that rule out seaborne?5 centre backs + Spillane and the kids would seem a bit excessive.I''d rather have whitbread for sure, just curious as to why we arsed about with seaborne if whitbread were available all along. Matt Morriss 69 Posted January 6, 2010 '''' Further details on this transfer - and on other Lions targets whichhave not come off, such as for a Championship striker - in Friday''sSouth London Press.''''Sounds like Archant spin to me to sell news papers. Remember when we all fell for it the day before the Cullum front page?

Matt Morriss 69 Posted January 6, 2010 Id be happy going into the promotion home straight with Doc, Askou, Whitbread and Seaborne on board. Im sure Lambert realises Nelson is crap and if we get these two he will try and dump the wheelie bin.
Nexus_Canary 1,206 Posted January 6, 2010 If we get Whitbread and Seaborne id suggest that Doc will be leaving us at the end of the season or becomming second choice ?I hope Askou doesnt become Stef The Second :( ie : always injured
Dibs 0 Posted January 6, 2010 Doc will be sold in Jan., Askou with Nelson/Whitbread as Central Defence. Don''t forget since Nelson has been playing he has clean sheets to his name.
Canary Man of Kent 0 Posted January 6, 2010 Why would we sell doc? Can''t see it happening.

Largey 0 Posted January 6, 2010 Selling Doc would be ridiculous given his recent performances.

Nuff said.
Dibs 0 Posted January 6, 2010 I just feel that we will cash-in instead of a free tranfer in the summer plus he''s a high earner, which i can''t see him lowering his pay much.
Matt Morriss 69 Posted January 6, 2010 Actually might have been v Huddersfield Nelson had his moment of patheticness, cant remember.....

Hannibal 0 Posted January 6, 2010
Why would we sell doc? Can''t see it happening.
The only reason i can see would be wages. He is apparently the highest earner at the club.
TheGoogler 604 Posted January 6, 2010 Has anyone considered that the Doc, out of contract this summer, has indicated to Lambert that he wants to leave this summer?

bradley11 0 Posted January 6, 2010 After living in london for a spell of time, I can say after meeting Zak and watching him, he is a far better centre back than Michael Nelson and equally as good as the Doc and Askou. Will probably be at the World Cup with USA also.
missing in action? 0 Posted January 6, 2010 fantastic player, get him in!!!!!
Mr. Bump 0 Posted January 6, 2010 I''m also fairly sure he''s a LCBSoRCB - Doc/NelsonLCB - Whitbread/Askou
Twitchy 0 Posted January 6, 2010 This lad would be a quality signing, that and I trust Mr. Lamberts judgement 100%
Guest Posted January 6, 2010
I''m also fairly sure he''s a LCBSoRCB - Doc/NelsonLCB - Whitbread/Askou
Makes sense if he is - goes along with the "two players for each position" mantra.
