Doc, Smith and Askou to miss boxing day clash

Recommended Posts

In team news, despite the Boxing Day Lions clash still being four days

away, the Canary chief has a defensive headache with Gary Doherty

missing through suspension and Jens Berthel Askou still struggling with

his foot injury. The Dane might well be another week or two and

Korey Smith is another absentee; the young midfielder is still out with

a thigh complaint.Elsewhere, Stephen Hughes is a good bet to

come into the midfield to replace Tom Adeyemi, after the Scot''s impact

when coming off the bench against the Terriers.
Askou being injured worries me, hopefully he will be fit again soon, we miss him dearly at the back. I really worry who we''re going to play at the back, with Doc and Askou both out, leaving the undesputed Nelson to command the back four...Smith being injured still surely means Hughes will come in for Adeyemi, which I am pleased about after our second half display on saturday! Also in the article, Norwich did get a call for Melbourne, but Theo didn''t want to leave us!
