Paradox 0 Posted December 30, 2009 With 2010 drawing to a close & having played our last game, we''ve read & seen reports & reviews on what has been a topsy turvey 2009 to say the least. What can we expect to be reading this time next year?Promotion from L1 via 2nd place. A decent 2nd half of the season allows us to stay ahead of the chasing pack, once we get ahead of Charlton. A dip of form in March & a few injuries sees us drop temporarily to 4th, but then the wheels come off for Col U & Charlton can not keep on winning consistantly. Leeds run away with it winning by 8 points.Leeds, NCFC promoted automatically & Saints via the playoffs. No change of ownership at NCFC or staff. Fans are all happy, some are even getting off Delia''s back & admitting that she finally made some good decisions in 2009.A summer of further team building sees us put together a young quick & hungry squad. A couple of seasoned pros remain such as the Doc, Drury & HoltThe scum remain in the Champ after a boring boring season The end up 12th after a decent 2nd half. However Roy Keane gets the axe & Evans replaces him with another ''big'' name - Ince.We go into the season with expectations of promotion despite warnings to not get ahead of ourselves. We travel away to one of the relagated sides on the opening day of the season & get stuffed 3-0. It now dawns that it won''t be easy. However, Lambert & troops regroup & soon start picking up points. We finish 2010 in 14th place, 10 off the play-offs which would be the toughest of targets for 2011.As far as cups go, we finally manage to beat a big club - Man Utd in the Carling Cup. We finally go out to West Ham though in the quarter finals.Oh, and we win the World Cup in the summer.
