Can''t believe he would do this as if he went to the toon he would play them next season anyway, But it''s in the Mirror so it must be true, but have to admit both moves could work well for us

Saw on a Miller''s forum that Leeds are interested in Rotheram''s top scorer Adam le Fondre, so maybe they are prepared to let Beckford go if the money is right.

That would be great news if Beckford, Gradel and Snodgrass leave in January. As long as we can retain our players it would make us favourites for top spot and also increase my chances of picking up 7/1 for the title. [<:o)]

Beckford AND Snoddy leaving? [:D]Snoddy loves it here so there''s about as much chance of Hoolahan coming to us in january as there is of him leaving any time soon!To clear things up re: Beckford.- Hughton has expressed an interest publically (bit of class that eh? But you''d expect nothing less from the football club equivalent of an alchopop!). Will never understand why this doesn''t equate to tapping up as it is obviously intended to turn a player''s head?- Beckford has NOT put in a transfer request.- We have NOT turned down a bid.- Do NOT believe any story you read in a red top especially when it features the line "A club insider says.....". It effectively means they have made something up under the guise of a *nudge nudge wink wink* "insider" and can''t be sued because it''s an *nudge nudge wink wink* insider and they don''t have to reveal the name of this *nudge nudge wink wink* insider because he''s not official he''s "on the inside", alright (wouldn''t it just be easier if they said "and after sitting around the Mirror offices all day eating krispy kreme''s, inhaling eachother''s farts and trying to scratch off those white stains on our work trousers after getting carried away with last night''s episode of ''The Piers Morgan Interview'' we actually had to do some work so we made up this shit because truthfully every football manager going knows we''re a laughing stock and wouldn''t give us "inside info" if their jobs depended on it!").Beckford won''t be allowed to leave unless an adequate replacement is ready to come in. Barnard and Hooper (Grayson is a known admirer and sounded him out as Beckford''s replacement last summer) are the two on Leeds fan''s lips, and before you ask yes he would, Andy Robinson dropped down a division last year, Bromby, Naylor, Doyle and Kisnorbo this year and I''ve no doubt Hooper would prefer to play for Leeds United in front of 26k than bloody Scunthorpe!. As for Beckford, I still have a strong feeling he''ll stay until the summer, if he leaves in January he will be waiving a big pay day in the summer with the signing on fee he will be entitled to. And he won''t be a rich man at the moment after four years of a Bates contract! If he goes he goes, there''s nothing we can do about it. We wouldn''t miss him like we would''ve done in previous seasons. We create so many chances (four of which he regularly misses before eventually hitting the back of the net) that it really wouldn''t take a new man very long to pick up the baton and keep us on course.Good luck Vs Wycombe, lads. And tune in to ITV on Sunday to see us smash Man United (well, off the pitch anyway![;)]  ).

Describing Newcastle as the club equivalent of an alcopop is one of the truer things said on this forum.
