Christmas Card for Mr Cowling....

Recommended Posts

It’s not normal practice to send somebody a Christmas Card with **** *** written inside it so probably best left alone or there again maybe not.

Just one other thought, a definition of Community (Weston Homes Community Stadium etc) might not go a miss at the festive time of year or is that reserved for his own supporter?

yep, why not give him advance notice that quite a few City fans will be trying to get through the turnsiles

whatever he thinks he will be obliged to act to avoid any potential trouble

just what City fans will want

try thinking next time

If anyone does want to send anything to Mr Cowling to express their thoughts, please ensure that it is wrapped carefully, and sent hygenically.  The postal system can be quite a rigourous process for parcels to pass through, and it''s not really fair on the poor posties to have to clean up the mess.  Maybe a sealed container (tupperware) might be best ?

The daft thing is the police costs for the game will probably rise if Norwich are not given enough tickets bearing in mind some people are talking on messageboards about going into the home end. Are these costs paid by the home team?

Please get a grip! We''ve given you lot a bigger allocation in our 10k stadium than you gave us in your 25k stadium. Our chairman is perfectly entitled to express his disappointment with your clubs conduct over the tapping up and subsequent poaching of Paul Lambert; it''s called freedom of speech, a concept you don''t seem to be able to get to grips with. It''s quite sad to see grown adults sulking over a ticket allocation.

Yes.

The Transport Police at the railway stations - no idea.

That would be valid if you were getting a BIGGER allocation of home supporters into your ground, You average is around 5000 - you only got 8000 for the Leeds game. Given that Leeds brought 3000 it still left 2000 empty seats.

As to what you were allocated I''m sure it was proportionate to your average attendance.

Carrying on the dispute over Paul Lambert into the territory of ticket allocation smacks of a very petty mindset.

With peepoor support like your club has it''s doubtful you will be stay the course. There''s loads of runty little clubs like you who come up a division or two on borrowed money shouting the odds, then like Stockport, Bury, Southend, Luton and others then quickly disappear back to where they belong.

My advice would be to grab the money through the gate, enjoy the game and enjoy your moment in the sun .... while it lasts.

It''s quite sad to see Mr. Cowling sulking over the employment by NCFC. Plc. of Paul Lambert  who I understood was out of employment at the time as he had resigned from his previous employers.

[/quote]Oh right, so when your bloke speaks out its "freedom of speech" but when we reply we are "sulking". Hmmm. Not sure that''s how it works in the big world, but maybe in Col Who land.....However I concede the point that Colchester can give us whatever allocation they damn well like - if we were playing Man Utd in a top of the table clash and only expected a home crowd of 10-12,000 I doubt we would give them another 10,000 tickets just to get the money in.

On the Lambert issue none of us actually know what happened apart from Lambert - I assume that our Board believes his version of events, hence the reluctance to pay you loads of money. Did we induce him to break his contract? Probably, simply by being given permission to talk to him. That tends to be what happens when a bigger club comes calling. we lost Mike Walker, John Bond etc the same way. It happens. Did we tell him to resign? Probably not. At the end of the day no-one will be able to prove or dis-prove anything - we''ll end up having to pay you a few £000''s. But your chairman will still be a c**k - all he had to do was not give us permission to talk to him, but he thought he wouldn''t go. He was wrong and has lost his reason because his ego can''t handle having made the error of judgement. Personally, I think most football club chairmen should do everything they can to stay out of the media spotlight because without exception they are not media trained and always sound completely stupid. Your guy more than most, but ours should have maintained the dignified silence, because his quote is also stupid - any club can do what the hell they want with their tickets, as he should know.

Its just another game; another 3 points. Whether we win there or not promotion will not be settled on that particular day or by that result and your guy bigging it up is just inflaming it all. Unfortunately there are enough crazy Norwich fans to cause you some serious trouble on the day and your chairman should know better - if he doesn''t he shouldn''t be chairman.

Been on to Col u ticket office who are aware Norwich Fans are in sections w7 and w8 family stands ,  unfortunately it also seems Colchester hoolies realise this and are looking to get in the sections.

Cowling is being stupid , they may be a issue going on between the clubs  but the fans have no say in this and it should stay that way.

Leeds had 3300 and some fans in the other parts of the staduim , all went well, Norwich should be given the same.

As a Leeds fan 1st Colchester 2nd i hope we beat you as you look the main threat in this division,  best team performance i have seen this year

was by Huddersfield at Leeds , which to beat yours, shows how good it was.

Good luck

Rich

Here''s a POSSIBLE scenario:

May be it was in Lamberts contract that if a club asked to talk to him, Colchester had to let him talk to the other club........

The whole situation seems barmy, Colchester still want more compensation from us and to make a point of this they are prepared to loose £35K from Norwich fans in ticket revenue. As a chairman of any business you have to maximise profit and turnover so these childish actions are costing the club.......he thinks that by doing this Morwich fans will miss the game but when theres empty seats we will buy them!!!

tapping up...??? of which your board said yes ..you can talk to our manager .

i would say thats asking permission.

its not us sulking over ticket allocation , its how petty your chairman is about it .and willing to lose your club money as he is still bitter regarding paul lambert.
