Bench Warmer and his loan is up early next month... is he going to want to sign just to get splinters up his jacksee when he is a first team regular at Swindon?

if he doesnt play in the next couple of matches should we just cut our losses and send him back?

I think we''ll sign him in January regardless of how much time he gets on the pitch before then.  Lambert''s clearly a fan from days gone by.

I am sure he wasn''t brought in just to make up numbers. Waste of money bringing in a loanee not to play him.So my guess is that he is part of a longer term plan, and just can''t get in the team just now because why change a winning side?I am guessing that once we tire of the diamond and switch to 4-4-2 he will feature.

As a team we seem to be alot fitter than most of the teams in league 1. I should imagine Lambert will want him up to his own standards before giving him a start. Not to mention the fact that the way we are playing at the moment Ronaldo wouldn''t get in the side! lol!

Concerned, cos i think we need him, despite him having not made a full 90 minutes in a yellow shirt yet.A fast winger with the ability to provide as good a cross as any in this league seems perfect for an alternate system. He''s a far more valuable member to our squad than Cureton, Otsemobor or McVeigh, despite having equal wages with them at the very most.I''d strongly urge we keep him, and i feel the club have the pulling power to do so. I just hope a few hours on the bench won''t disenchant him with such a prospect open to him.

Am surprised at the lack of pitch time McNamee has had myself and no mention of why this might be from Lambert as yet.

If it is purely down to fitness levels then surely Lambert should be making fans aware of the situation?

I think it is a very good post from Jas and a question that many fans have been asking lately.

Lambert said when we signed him: "I then saw him again when I was at Colchester and he was quick, and he

hasn''t lost that. So I''m glad we have got him in and he gives us

another option."If we''re beating a team like Huddersfield 3-0, why does he need to try this other option? It seems to me that it''s more of a long term signing that will benefit the squad rather than bringing him in to have an immediate impact. Especially if we bring in another winger for the other side as well, such as that good bloke from Barnet. I imagine come the end of the season, he''ll have had a few games under his belt to show what he can do, but unless we stop winning, it seems needless to change things.

I think Jas did make a really good post!  Use him or lose him.  I think the reason why he hasn''t played is because Lambert seems to forget about susbstitutes!!!

I''m sure he will be used over the coming weeks being that the festive period is such a busy time. Pace could be crucial with oppo players becoming tired.

It seems to me Lambert doesn''t need too much advice from the like of us lot on this board.

I''m sure McNamee has been targeted for the long term and, as said elsewhere, for options. I could be wrong but i think he new the situation when Lambo signed him and sees his future here. His time will come.

Hopefully we will sign one or two in January which will mean a few more bench warmers but that''s the way to build a successful set up

Good point.The other possibility is that Lambert wanted a pacey winger but couldn''t get his prime target on loan pending signing. There''s been a lot of talk of Adomah, and maybe Barnet want to hang on until January in the hope of a Dutch Auction.Either way, I totally agree with you that Lambert will know exactly what he''s doing and will make the right decisions (God, when did I last feel like that about a City manager!)
