Is Grant Holt Settled?

Recommended Posts

I don''t know what his plans are at Norwich but at Shrewsbury he flat shared with another player.  His family home is in Carlisle and he regularly commuted between the two when he was with the Shrews.

But Shrewsbury is a lot closer than Norwich, so I would imagine that he has bought a place here. Should be able to afford to.

dont know where he is living at the moment but can tell you he had no intention of staying at shrewsbury ( my work office is in shrewsbury and my manager knows him in a roundabout way ) , dont know if he has sold it but he has put the family home up for sale and wanted them to move to east anglia as he saw it as a long term move so hopefully he is here to stay

Does he live locally?

Why are we so worried about where our players and manager are living?

I personally don''t think it matters much unless the travelling affects their performance but it certainly worries fans.  You''ll find similar discussions on many forums.  I know several Colchester players, who once used to commute long distances at their previous clubs, and they say they find living near the town much easier on them.  I believe Mr Keane has told all his lot that they have to live within half an hour of the training ground.

Journeyman......

Has done well so far but past form and a dodgy record speaks for itself.

[/quote]Journeyman? Nope. Just like Hucks and Iwan (and probably many others before them) he''s a good player that needed to find the right club, at the right place and the right time to excel. It looks like we may well be that club.

Excellent point, Mook!  I made the same basic sentiment on a different thread.  I didn''t know of his journeyman status, but said he is obviously happy here with his smile to the fans when they sang a song for him, and when else has he score as prolifically (sp?) (or is "prolifically" even a word?) as he is doing so for us.
