John Kennedy forced to retire

Just read that John  Kennedy has been forced to give in to his injuries and retire. I remember how brilliant John was before his horriifc injury while playing for Scotland, and it was obvious that the player who returned from rehabilitation was a pale shadow , although the very fact that he put himself through enormous pain to get on the pitch again shows the spirit of the man, even when  doctors had told him that he would never get sufficient strength back in the knee to play again.

When he came here he gave everything he had to the cause and was forming a decent partnership with Steffy before the injury recurred, and he came across as a really nice guy when interviewed. I wish him all the best in what he chooses to do know.
