Team For Tommorrow

                   I think...

                Rudd

Dumic Wiggins Habergham Askou

      Smith Lappin Russell

             Hoolahan

    Holt          Cody
Good grief! That''s all over the shop! Hate the look of that defence too!
It''s Paulton Rovers not Chelsea! Why not try out a different defence.
Why play 2 central defenders as full backs and 2 left full backs as central defenders? That is just really silly!Wiggins Dumic Askou HaberghamorHabergham Dumic Askou Wigginsmake more sense.I''d expect we will go with something likeRudd Drury, Doherty, Askou, WigginsDaley, Adeyemi, Hughes, McVeighMcDonald, MartinWhich is basically the team put out in the JPT away to Gillingham [ up to availability and McDonald for Cureton ] which I think is the most comparable recent game.Looking at the JPT games, I notice - Lambert likes to:keep his Central defense together, but change the full backs.change the central midfield pair with a Russell/Hughes swap and a Smith/Adeyemi swap.Give different strikers a chance - Cureton/Holt became Maric/Martin first time, second time Holt/Martin became Cureton/MartinPlay 4-4-2 with two wingers and not play Hoolahan.I think the team I''ve suggested follows these leanings, imo.  The positions I am least sure of are Martin (Maric?) and McDonald (Cureton?)  I would expect to see some substitutions if winning with Stephens, Tudur-Jones and another striker given some playing time.

I don''t think you''ll see much change from last week''s starting line up tbh, other than the enforced changes in respect of Gill and Forster.

Wiggins Dumic Askou Habergham
or
Habergham Dumic Askou Wiggins

make more sense.

I''d expect we will go with something like

Rudd
Drury, Doherty, Askou, Wiggins
Daley, Adeyemi, Hughes, McVeigh
McDonald, Martin

Which is basically the team put out in the JPT away to Gillingham [ up to availability and McDonald for Cureton ] which I think is the most comparable recent game.

Looking at the JPT games, I notice -
Lambert likes to:

Give different strikers a chance - Cureton/Holt became Maric/Martin first time, second time Holt/Martin became Cureton/Martin
Play 4-4-2 with two wingers and not play Hoolahan.

I don''t think he''ll change it around that much. The only three players I can see being changed are Holt, Smith and Hoolahan, and to be honest I''d be surprised if Lambo did change them around.

My Team Would Be:

Rudd

Dumic

Doherty

Nelson

Wiggins

Adeyemi

Smith

Lappin

Hoolahan

McDonald

Martin

Subs

Steer

Askou

Drury

Russell

McVeigh

Holt

Cureton

I think that team that i would select to start has more than enough in it to beat a fired up Paulton side. If it was to go pear shaped you still have the quality on the bench to try and pull you through.

Holt has to play at some stage to get a booking.  We should play our strongest side not only because we risk egg on our faces otherwise, but also we are in front of the TV cameras. A really good performance will see us getting more appearances on TV with associated revenues, but if we are poor, I don''t see them queueing up.

My Team Would Be:

                   Rudd

Drury    Dumic    Doc   Wiggins

McVeigh   Hughes   Smith    Lappin

          McDonald     Martin

Don''t See Lambert Starting Dumic Or McVeigh Though......

If Drury Goes As RB Again, Wiggins Should Take His LB Place, Not Lappin! Lappin Plays Best In Mid-field!!

i''d give Cody and Cureton a start up front to be fair.. with Holt and Maric on the bench.. that way we can bring holt on to get a late Yellow and miss the JPT game Tuesday, Marc if needed to see what he can do.

If you''re gonna try out a new defence ... whats the point in keeping an unchanged midfield, who we can''t risk loosing to injury at the minute.

Rudd

Kelly Dumic Stephens Habergham

McVeigh Gill Adeyemi Lappin/Martin (cant think of anyone else to play left mid)

McDonald Cureton.

We''d still win.

Lambert has said that he will play a strong side!

Forster

Doc  Askou  Drury

Martin  Gill  Adeyemi  Russell  Lappin

Cody  Hoolahan  Holt

subs:

Rudd  Nelson  McVeigh  Daley  Jones (5 subs in fa cup?)
For a start

1. Forster is cup tied

2. we cannot field 12 players

3. Who is jones?

4. Gill is injured

5. why would martin be playing right mid in a "3 5 3" formation?!

6. Why did you create this post and end up being the biggest idiot on this forum?
LOL, banana must be about 12.

I think this team definately makes most sense (if I havn''t got injured on there!).

                                    Rudd

Francomb         Doc               Askou         Wiggins

McVeigh         Adeyemi         Hughes         Daley

                        McDonald      Holt

Subs: Who knows!

Rudd will defo play, in cup games Lambert always keeps cb''s the same and changes full backs.  A big midfield change like in JPT, I think Holt will play just to get us some goals to make sure of it and Cody just to give him a game.[:D]
