So uncertain is he of our ability to challenge Poulton under the gaze of the cameras that he''s fielding an aggressive 3 5 3 formation!Seriously though, Forster is contractually out (loan terms) so Rudd will start - and very good luck to the lad. I''ve liked him a lot when I''ve seen him.Lambert''s going to field a tough side though. Expect Holt and Hools and Doc off at or around half time...?

Forgot about Wiggins, why didn''t he play at Stockport? I''d replace him for Lappin then, and move Lappin into midfield for Adeyemi. Also i presume Hughes is stil injured?

Surely Forster won''t be allowed to play?

I reckon the side will be:

Rudd

Drury, Doc, Askou, Wiggins,

Smith, Russell, Lappin

Hoolahan

Martin Holt

Subs: Steer, McVeigh, Nelson, Cody, Cureton
That''s the team I''d like to see Simon. I believe with that side out Holt, Hoolahan and Martin will each score at least one goal and I can''t see us conceding three.

Is Wiggins fit?

I''d seriously consider leaving out Wes, on what''s likely to be a pretty dodgy pitch and against defenders who will probably kick lumps out of him.

Rudd

Smith Askou Doc Drury

McVeigh Russell Hughes (if fit, Adeyemi if not), Lappin

Martin Holt

I must say though I''m not convinced Wiggins is fit. I''ve heard nothing of him ever since the Gills JPT game where he looked pretty tidy.

So if not I''d drop Lappin back into defence for Adeyemi. McVeigh causes us to lose our shape to much.

I''d go with that Simon. But I''d switch Steer for Theo and Hools for Cody. Will Lambert bench Smith as he''s doing such an important job in the middle AND supplies much needed cover at RB. Perhaps this depends on whether we get another RB in today???

Rudd

Drury, Doc, Askou, Wiggins

Smith, Russell, Lappin

Hoolahan

Martin, Holt

Subs - Theo, Nelson, Adeyemi, OTJ, McVeigh, McDonald, Cureton

If Wiggins is fit i''d start him allowing Lappin to play in midfield, i felt at Stockport the side was unbalanced, there was absolutely nothing ahead of Lappin at left back, we missed a left sided midfielder.

That is Gill down to a tee. He''s gone missing in every game I''ve seen him play.

To be fair he isn''t a left sided midfielder though

Did you see him play in the middle at the start of the season? It wasn''t any better

It''s Paulton Rovers not Chelsea! Why not try out a different defence.

For a start

1. Forster is cup tied

2. we cannot field 12 players

3. Who is jones?

4. Gill is injured

5. why would martin be playing right mid in a "3 5 3" formation?!

6. Why did you create this post and end up being the biggest idiot on this forum?
Just my opinion but if I tried a dozen different formations I''d never have two lefties at CB, Lappin central while Rusty plays out of pos..... But I guess neither of us are the gaffer for good reason.

I think Stephens and Wiggins will be involved in some capacity, and Cody too. Apart from that, usual suspects and Rudd in goal.
