GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary

Doncaster on sky sports.

Recommended Posts

Sorry to bring up the name of this guy again, but his very voice on skysports this evening just makes my blood boil.

Talking tonight about what a "fanatastic product" Scottish football is, it just peplexes me how this failiure landed on his feet by getting this gig.

How did that interview go?

"so Mr Doncaster, tell me about your last role?"

"well, last season I financially mis-managed a football club with the 3rd largest average attendance in the league, with a playing budget of 12m to such an extent that we got relegated!"

"Excellent, when can you start?!"

It surely won''t be too log before the people of Scotland hound this English geek out of their game and out of their country!

It''s a classic case of "not what you know, but who you know"

Spending his time schmoozing down at the FA while Norwich City went down the pan is what got him the job.

With respect he never applied for the job at Norwich. Delia gave it to him. Hardly his fault if he wasn''t the best. He had little experience of the job when he took it or what was expected of him. Have you forgotten all that fuss over the guy from Sainsburys that Neil Doncaster replaced?

He was, aznd still is, hugely respected amongst his peers and in the game-hence his new role, he''ll go on from that to something more high profiile, unquestionably.

He just didn''t have that respect amongst Norwich fans!

And the appointment of Neil Doncaster is probably why we find ourselves where we are at this moment in time.....

Neil Doncaster replaced Gordon Bennett who was actually very good at doing his job, (and pioneered the role of standing outside the ground and making himself available to supporters).

I think you''re being a touch confused, by saying that Doncaster replaced Bob ''Tin Tin Haircut'' Cooper.....He didn''t - Roger did.

Oh, and I don''t think Will Hoy is as effective as the departed Andrew Cullen, either....

Still, we''ve now got Lambo, Mr Mac Mr new Chairman bloke - and 70s porn star moustache, Archant Geezer.

The majority-shareholders? I now think their tight-grip is beginning to loosen.....and I for one, is very happy.

He probably will.  That sort always do.  Once you get far enough up the greasy pole you get protected.  Fred Goodwin anyone?

At Norwich he got found out but slipped out the back door before he had to face the music.  Good riddance.
