The Great Drinkell 50 Posted January 1, 2005 After an indifferent start I feel that Gary Docherty is turning into another very useful addition to the squad. I only listened to the pompey game but was aware of the number of defensive last ditch tackles he made. This coming after some very competent performances in the last few games, Bolton, Spurs and Middlesboro'' we still need to help him out on the height thing at the set pieces but would like others opinion on this signing now that he has settled in. As for the people who still thing Malky could do as well - watch his distribution.
Midland Canary 0 Posted January 1, 2005 i know i have slagged him off before but generally he is good with his height and at only 23/24 could become a great aqusition!! p.s i have changed my avatar becausethe other one was bit stupid!
DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted January 1, 2005 I didn''t go today so I can''t really comment but I really hope the Doc is turning a corner. If he can put in solid, consistant performances it could really help us beat the drop. I rate him , I really do. I think he can become a great addition to our team

Old Boy 0 Posted January 2, 2005 Doherty''s just like McKay, but without Malky''s silky skills....He gave the ball away stupidly which led to Edworthy being sent off. But he tries really hard all the time, and his reading of the game (judging from Neil Adams''s comments) is pretty good, and I like Charlton on the left, so good luck to him. AJ 1,218 Posted January 2, 2005 Must be a different Docherty on the pictch! Sorry, but the only player of such name i know who players for norwich is Doherty, and hes blurring his utility tag to become a janitor

For a player so young, who has had such a confidence knock at his last club, he is coming on in leaps and bounds now. We look better defending crosses and corners with him in there as well. LinkNR9 0 Posted January 2, 2005 It was actually Charlton who gave the ball away prior to the sending off (which I thought was of a bit harsh decision although, once again, we got nothing from the ref all game from the match from what I saw).
