Having just watched Football focus' piece on foreign ownership...

Recommended Posts

I cant help but regret slagging Delia off to the extent I have in the past.Yes we may be stuck in a horrible tin pot league and yes she and MWJ have made horrific mistakes but if we''re honest the stowmarket two care about this club more deeply than the foreign money men only in it for the money and we also have a wonderful ground/training pitch with players that look like they''re good enough for the championship.I would hate to support a team in the premiership (thats for another time ;)). We''re not the only club to have been in a mess but with McNally at the helm and with Lambert looking the biz I think with promotion this year (2nd will do me [Y]) we can look forward to establishing ourselves in the championship. If you''re not convinced then you only to look down the A140 at Ippo. 7m + on players and with men who supposedly know what they''re doing [:D] and they are doing worse at this stage than we were doing this time last time year. Shes not perfect but shes doing her best to rectify mistakes made previously. Note : it is NOT against the law to change your mind.Having said that i would prefer Gold/Sullivan here instead [;)]

Now you''ve gone and done it! You should know by now that if anyone talks any sense on here, especially if it''s a view against the accepted "Delia Out", you can prepare to be vilified by all the 14 year olds with nothing else to do. Best not to look......
Yes I know. I should have added that I and other City fans were jealous of the scum because of all their money, that looks mis-guided now!''Cheers for reminding me[:D]
No probs, many City fans were not quite so jealous of the Binners once they''d taken the trouble to peruse the conditions of the Marcus Evans takeover deal. If you owed a grand on your Barclaycard and didn''t pay it eventually Barclaycard would sell the debt to a specialist recovery agency for between 6 and 15 pence in the £. The debt ollector would then attempt to recover the £1000 from you not the £60-£150 outlay they made, that''s where the profit lies. The Binners debt has not been written off simply sold on for a few pence in the £. [:D] Any money put into the club is owed to Marcus Evans by well..... Marcus Evans so there''s a good chance that he will pay himself back when it all goes horribly wrong, in the meantime his initial investment is paying a dividend well above current interest rates. It''s a horrible deal for Ipswich but after years of financial mismanagement I don''t suppose there were many offers on the table for the red faced one.

I pointed this out plenty over the last 18 months Buckethead. But it fell on deaf ears. Folk only listen now because they''re not envious anymore. They''re not envious anymore because ipswich never win. Despite all the protests to the contrary football fans don''t care about ownership or money and aren''t jealous of it. Football fans care about football and results.

Whilst appreciating the good points she has, the last few years for this club, under her stewardship, have been truly awful.

This is stating the obvious.

I neither want to praise her nor pillory her. I just look forward to the day when she is eventually replaced.

Sullivan will do for me.

Meanwhile, ITFC can keep Marcus Evans and Roy Keane. That lot are well met.

I don''t know M''lord. You''ll have to ask those that did. There was a witch hunt about it on here and a couple owned up so start with them. It may be better to ask those who constatantly used them as a stick to beat the club last season. A good place to start would be with those that were gagging for them to finish top six on here in the summer. You and I weren''t amongst them though. I reckon you''ll find enough there to guage an opinion[:O]

Come on Arthur.. Let''s be ''avin'' you[:^)]

This is the second week running you claimed I posted something that I never did! Now you didn''t like it when Walphy was on your case but you are beginning to be the same with me. I think you''ll find it was the smiling face of the nCIsA who was clapping and singing for "Our Deals".

That particular thread wasn''t your finest hour as you and one or two others got yourselves involved in a witch hunt against fellow City Fans. Check it out here :-

Now singing Delia Barmy Army was the last thing I felt like doing after that game. Well maybe the second last thing because the last thing would be turn on other City Fans who had bravely supported their team in the enemies back yard. Delia got that right for sure - City fans are the best in the world.

Exactly. It''s all well and good loving the club, but that doesn''t mean you''re going to run it well. I love the club but I doubt I''d do a very good job at running the thing.
