Our club sponsor. we are lucky

Recommended Posts

az alkmaars main sponsor and stadium owner DSB BANK has gone bust yesterday. Have just seen it mentioned on sky sports extra. Checked it on the dutch newspaper de telegraaf''s website [i speak and read dutch] they are looking for this placehttp://www.floridadude.com/ShitCreekPaddleStore.jpgthankfully, aviva seemed to have weathered the worst of the credit crunch. We should consider ourselves fortunate

Yes.. we are lucky to be Sponsoed by a company that has offshored itself, laid off hundreds of local people and moved jobs to India so it can pay tuppence Ha''penny...

we are fortunate to be sponsored by a company who bent over backwards to help Ipswich town out financially in their hour of need....

we are over the moon that we are sponsored by a company that wants nothing to do with us outside the stadium, using Plymouth in its Adverts and not having "Proud Sponsor of Norwich City FC" anywhere at all on its literature, web sites or Branding

We are pleased we are sponsored by an organisation that took the name "norwich Union", a national establishment and a name assocaited with the fine city and changed it to something to please the world market instead....

Aviva can swivel on it....

Seconded.

The only good thing about them is that they''ve changed their name so most people won''t associate them with the City of Norwich once their sponsorship ends.

[/quote]So just to clarify....We''re saying we''d all prefer Aviva kept all jobs local, therefore making their operations costs higher, resulting in higher prices than it''s competitors which in the long term would probably result in a loss of market share, making the company much less profitable As a result, the company would have to get rid of many, many workers, all of who are British. Its funny how people complain when jobs are outsourced to locations with less expensive work force, but I bet you still shop around to find the cheepest car insurance, not for one moment wondering why one insurer is "so much cheaper" than another insurer.

It''s about ethics, and having a modicum of loyality to the workforce that has made the company what it is. Fair enough, if the company needs to streamline and shed Some staff in the current climate - but to cut hundreds of jobs, then spend millions and millions on a bloated advertising campain, with a-list filmstars and 3 minute long, peak-time ads shows utter contempt to the people that have been the backbone of the companys success.

Well said Jas.

They couldn''t wait to dis-associate themselves from Norwich. "Assist in world branding" -bollocks, excuses!

You don''t see other companies that have a worldwide presence but a name connected with a certain area rushing to change their names on that pretext! What next?

Milano Dumplings?

Barcelona Pudding?

Paris-London-New York''ledale?

Colemans were proud to be our sponsor.

Even Proton made more of an effort!

No doubt Aviva will end up sponsoring a club in the Champions League soon.

and they are now shelling out a small fortune to have the naming rights to the new stadium that was Landsdowne Road in Ireland. perhaps NCFC can play Worthy''s mob in a grand opening game..................this will include travelling there on the Aviva sponsored round the world yacht followed by running the last 100yards in tribute to the Aviva sponsored athletics. we are just a small part of their sponsorship budget and we only got the cash as an appeasement to the removal of Norwich Union from the world stage

God! For the millionth time - they did NOTHING to help Ipswich - that debt still exists - Ipswich still owe it.

*bangs head against wall*

It''s good to see that now Aviva''s operation costs have been lowered by outsourcing, that premiums for insurance and management fees for investments have correspondingly fallen.

just so you guys are aware, aviva have not sent all their call centres abroad!!!

In fact there is only one or two left abroad...

The company is seeking to find new staff locally and around the UK for its many UK based centres...

The reason why it puts more into UK Athletics is because Aivia sponsered this first and it is the major sporting event/team it sponsers!!!
