blahblahblah 2 Posted October 19, 2009 He just made a poor kick is all. A couple of the saves he made in the last 20 minutes kept us in the game. Leeds were lucky, but they finished strongly. Let''s hope Forster forgets this aberration and gets back to usual service at the weekend.

Jammy1902 0 Posted October 19, 2009 yes he is a good keeper and did some good saves. but what a joke, professional keeper and fluffs a goal kick. im so gutted and disapointed. even more disapointed that beckford the t*at scored it. keepers of any level should not be making mistakes like that. no excuses! Gingerpele 0 Posted October 19, 2009 I suppose he did save the game 2 times earlier, but he could have done better with the first one....Anyone tomorrow, they need to do 3 things:Practice Corners (defending and attacking)Learn how to score/get better scoring opportunities.Make Forster and the defence practise goal kicks..... blahblahblah 2 Posted October 19, 2009 Fair point jammy, but you''ve just got to put it down to experience, make sure it doesn''t happen again, and move on.
Nexus_Canary 1,206 Posted October 19, 2009 I think Lambo should put him in the goal and give him a football.Dont let him leave Elland road till hes long kicked the ball past the halfway line 100 times in successionThat will teach him
Mister Chops 7 Posted October 19, 2009 Great save with his right hand to stop a Beckford goal, but what''s the use in producing match-winning saves when you go and gift them a 93rd minute winner with a crappy kick like that?
matt crowhurst 0 Posted October 19, 2009 i also thought he was to blame for the first goal. when the ball is inside the 6 yard box the keeper has to come and get it bot stand still
6088m canary 3 Posted October 19, 2009 No excuses can be made for the kick, sure. However, 4 professional defenders should not allow an opposition striker to be goal side on a goal kick and leave him be.Leeds did finish the stronger and perhaps there is a point to be made for a sub late on but i understand why PL didnt. No player in that side tonight should be berated.....all of them gave their all and we were very unluclky not to come away with a win. Id be very surprised to hear if Leeds have faced a better side than us this season. Keep this level up and top 6 is the bare minumum to expect.OTBC
ncfcstar 342 Posted October 19, 2009 He''s a good shot stopper, but that doesn''t always make a keeper. His distribution has been terrible since he joined us, and it was only a matter of time before it cost us. It so happened to be tonight, live on Sky, against the team that is top of the league. Barclay Kid 0 Posted October 19, 2009 He Pulled Off 2 Fantastic Saves Earlier On, So Without Those It Would Have Been Worse. Hopefully He Can Pick Himself Up For Saturday! :)

Excited Canary 19 Posted October 19, 2009 I would rather he had let the first brilliant save in, we would then have had more time to come back.
Clint 221 Posted October 19, 2009 He''s a reasonably good keeper but he''s also a young keeper. He''s a very good shot stopper but he doesn''t command his six yard box and his distribution in general, is pretty poor. Unfortunately, this is what you get when you loan a Champs team''s 3rd choice keeper, he''s not going to be the finished article as he''s here for experience.I expect in a few years time, he will be a very good keeper and its a shame we won''t get the benefit of it! Gibbo 131 Posted October 19, 2009 Any keeper can make a mistake. It''s the most difficult position on the pitch for sure. You have nobody behind you to save you if you do make a mistake, unlike defenders who always have the keeper behind them to pull them out the ''plop''. Feel for the lad, I''ve been there (obviously at a much lower level!!!) and it''s the worst feeling, it really is :(
Clean Shirt 0 Posted October 19, 2009 His kicking was poor all game not just the mistake. Also he could have done a lot better with the first goal just did a star jum and looked like a lemon
The gut 0 Posted October 19, 2009 What annoys me is that so many of our keepers cannot kick a ball. Robert Green and Delan Rudd (in his limited games so far) are exceptions. Do they practice kicking enough? Thankfully we are not usually punished so severely but we have conceded so much pocession over the years.
Ian 1,207 Posted October 19, 2009
i also thought he was to blame for the first goal. when the ball is inside the 6 yard box the keeper has to come and get it bot stand still
Said exactly the same, amazed he didn''t at least attempt to claim the cross. It swung back in, giving him plenty of time to move across. Unfortunately Otsembor also happens to be shit, and gave a guy about a foot jump on him. Pathetic defending from the corner. Howson is now! 0 Posted October 19, 2009 You say "do they practice kicking enough?" The Gut, but I was really impressed with Forster''s kicking with his weaker foot as he had to a lot tonight and thought to myself "He must practice his kicking a lot." It was a very unfortunate mistake. You''re right that Declan''s distribution is immense though.

Shack Attack 0 Posted October 19, 2009
Watch the game again and count how many times his kicking was poor....only the last 2 were pooh!
Got to disagree with that mate, thought his distribution was pretty iffy all night. Don''t think he deserves to be slagged off for the goal too much though. We all make mistakes [:D]

Don''t forget these are professionals with little to do and there cannot be any excuse for not practicing dead ball kicks to near perfection. These mistakes are not rare, just not always instantly punished.
Canary Man of Kent 0 Posted October 19, 2009 Every match Forster has played his kicking has been very suspect. His shot stopping is clearly excellent, his kicking needs work.Rudds kicking impressed me hugely, particularly when he came on for Forster at gills.

I would say he was on a par with that scummy keeper we had once.
Shaun Tilly Lace 0 Posted October 20, 2009 He made two brilliant saves and one blunder. I wonder sometimes if some of you never make any mistakes - of course you do. If you claim not to then you are a liar. Just like Forster, and all professional footballers, we are all human and therefore make mistakes from time to time. tubby65 0 Posted October 20, 2009 Yes he made two great saves to keep us in the game, and i agree his kicking was very poor during the game rarely making it over the half way line. But what i cannot understand is that in the last minute of the game is why he is rushing to take the kick, just be professional use up the time and finally kick the ball WIDE where it is safer rather than down the middle. I feel that Declan Rudd is the better keeper and really should be given a good run in the side, I am not sure about Forster and if he is 6ft 5 inches why is he not claiming crosses or at least punching them. Lets hope he recovers from the eroor as he did not have a bad game overall
