ron obvious 1,711 Posted October 4, 2009 http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/full_article.asp?i=4940Good or bad?I don''t think the situation is quite terminal at the moment - Korey can cover at RB & Hughes start at midfield - but after that it''s getting thin; Adeyemi to cover mid, no other FB cover (Wiggins?) & if Holt gets injured ...... but that was always a problem. Would have to be some combination of Martin/Curo/Cody/Daley I suppose. What do we think?
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted October 4, 2009 Got to get in a right back this week with Spillane and Otsemobor out. Korey Smith isn''t a right back and i wouldn''t want to take him out of the midfield anyhow.Possibly a right sided midfielder as well, Lambert wants pace in the side as the inclusion of Daley shows. Mr. Bump 0 Posted October 5, 2009 “We don''t have a big squad – I''ve said that and I''m sick of saying it.Even though there''s about 400 names on the back of that programme. Butsome of those lads are only 12-years-old so I can''t play them.."LOL
ZLF 335 Posted October 5, 2009 Korey is essential to our midfield, our midfield was less effective once he went back on sat. He offers a different game to say a hughes russell midfield and adeyemi does not yet have the same impact. Losing Korey for a couple of games is a worry and for that reason alone a right back loanee is essential for next sat for me, esp with leeds quickly following and if the manager does not fancy the youngsters in that position.Would rather move russell or hughes right back than Korey. But I feel our midfield was less effective because of the replacement. I like McVeigh but he''s hardly a like for like replacement for Korey Smith. Just like it all went t*ts up when McVeigh replaced Hughes at MK Dons. McVeigh will never win a midfield battle. I felt the option on Saturday would have been to put Russell at right back and Hughes in midfield. Just as at MK Dons had Russell been on the bench to replace Hughes I feel we would have gone on to win the game. But I guess at 4-1, with the game won, it was never going to cost us. The Chirp 0 Posted October 5, 2009 rudd smith and adeyemi are playing well beyond their years... they are stand out players... the others in that age group and i am talking about lathrope, habergham (sp? oh you know who i mean) etc... are still too young.having said that, i honestly think one or two of the other 1st year pro''s have the make up to make just as big impact...dumic + stephens
