superpaddyncfc 0 Posted October 8, 2009 Don''t think anyone has mentioned this but hopefully it is possible good news for us maybe??? Don''t think 100m for West Ham is a good deal.Former West Ham chairman Eggert Magnusson is planning a shock return to Upton Park. The Icelandic businessman wants a second spell at the club and could be about to battle David Gold and David Sullivan and consortiums from Asia and the USA for control.Magnusson was in charge when the club were hit by a financial crisis stemming from the collapse of banks in Iceland. But he is said to blame that on former owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson, who brought Magnusson into the club three years ago before having to hand over control to holding company CB Holdings.Magnusson, who still lives in London, is thought to believe the £100m asking price for the Hammers is too high.
