Any USA based City fans out there....

Recommended Posts

I''ll be in Las Vegas when the Leeds v City game is screened live. It will kick off about mid-day Vegas time. Does anyone know where or whether I will be able to see the game televised? Any well known casinos or sports bars?

Thanks[:D]

Your best bet is Fox Soccer Channel, you can get their listings here - http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/fsctv/printableschedules - they do listings a week ahead, so check to see if it''s on next Monday.  Failing that, there''s always an internet stream for any live match these days.
there also on espn now, might be on there with a bit of luck as i dont have fox soccer channel :(
Just a guess, but ESPN bought the games that Setanta had from the Premiership, I''d imagine that they only show those, with Fox Soccer showing the Sky games ?  Is that how it works ?

Hi Rex,

It is going to be tough. Best bet is the internet and a streaming site. With the Baseball playoffs in full swing soccer takes even more of a back seat that usual. Try the FSC website. Also ESPN 2 or Fox Sport Canada. Hope you enjoy your stay and win big!
Given the time of year, would absolutely say the internet is your best bet dude. Good luck in Vegas - have you been before? Crazy place!
vegas is a great place, though your best bet for watching the footie is in your hotel room on your laptop streaming it from a site...and if your in vegas I would rather miss the match tbh..fao hollywood canary, I visited LA this summer (along with vegas on my travels across usa) and have to admit I hated the place! seemed really run down and grotty even the famed beverly hills area wasn''t as nice as I thought pre-visit, whats it like living there?

Thanks for all the advice everybody. I was in Vegas nearly 20 years ago so I''m expecting a few changes!

If I can''t watch the match live, maybe I''ll just sit by the pool and let the bikini clad waitresses bring me another beer to drown my sorrows. [H][B]I can always wath the Sky recording when I get home.

I suggest you try the espn bar/resturant attached to new york new york, it has tv screens all over the place showing every sports channel available, with a lunchtime kick off time you should not be overloaded with the baseball. have a blast. otbc

LA is a cesspool of humanity.

Fox Soccer Channel won''t have the game and neither will ESPN 2.  For TV viewing, the only hope is Setanta, which carries Coca Cola Championship games sometimes and may find space for a game played on Monday evening, but not likely. The streaming suggestions sound best. be sure to see Sigfried and Roy! (not really)

Being a huge rock music fan, I bloody love West Hollywood.  Try and get over there once a year if I can.  Had THE best time this year, meeting up with old friends in The Rainbow!!

I have been to Vegas many times in recent years.............your best bet by far is bringing a laptop and finding an internet stream.

There are normally loads if the game is on sky. Vegas is west coast time so it is 8 hours behind England.

Might be woth trying the following place closer to the date to see what they are showing........

http://www.crownandanchorlv.com/index2.html

Its a British Soccer pub in Vegas just off Tropicana, Its about 1.5 miles off the south end of the strip.

ESPN and FOX Soccer don''t show Colaship or League 1, Just Prem. Setanta shows these games and they have plumped for Leicester that day...http://www.setanta.com/us/TV-Listings/Bummer. Adams and Goreham for us NY''ers.

Why?

If you have a laptop and a reasonably fast internet connection you can watch it online if its being shown on sky.

There are often multiple streams.

It wont be HD quality but its often very watchable.

I wish the club would stream every game live via the internet.

I would personally be happy to pay the price of  a season ticket for such a subscription.

Even select games not on the TV would be fantastic.

Bloodwagon,

That 2009 -2010 League 1 Champions banner is really tempting fate.

A Binner did that regarding The Championship and the UEFA Cup  a few seasons ago and they fell on their face in both.  The Binner was made to look a real CHUMP!

Its like fans chanting, easy, easy against Bristol Rovers.

I spend 6 months of the year in Mobile Alabama, and Galveston Texas. Direct TV Show ESPN, and for some reason Setanta is advertising the new Prem. season, so not sure if theyare still broardcasting over there or not.

I visited Las Vegas in 1980 and also drove from there to The Hoover Dam and the rebuilt London Bridge (Lake Havasu).
