I heard on friday that he has also had ''brief'' talks with a certain celebrity cook last week too!
Sullivan- ''Can I see your books please''?West Ham- ''Certainly, here they are''.Sullivan- '' Er goodbye''!
You''re probably not far off the mark there to be honest. This after all is the club that paid Freddie Ljungberg £85,000 a week before getting 25 games out of him and giving him a £6million pay off.

Interesting stuff indeed but somehow I can still see this one running the course, Gold played for The Hammers I seem to recall and I’m sure they will screw (no pun intended) a good deal out of the current owners.

That said, for the amount of money it will cost them just to acquire the club they would get a whole load more for their loot at ours provided the current incumbents are sensible.

And they wonder why football clubs are going bust left, right and centre.

I don''t believe for one moment that Gold would really be interested in buying Norwich. He''s interested in West Ham because of several reasons : his personal connection to the club, the fact that it''s a London club not one which is way out somewhere in the sticks (as most people outside of Norfolk perceive Norwich), the fact that indisputably it has a much larger fan base than Norwich (regardless of the fact that Hammers fans proved to be particularly fickle when they were in the Championship), the fact that it is a club steeped in tradition and the fact that it is near his domicile. The problem for West Ham is their debt but if that can be overcome they would be a very attractive proposition for someone like a mega rich Arab to buy into. I don''t think Gold has got deep enough pockets by far. However, the fact that he is unlikely to be able to buy West Ham does not mean he will be interested in Norwich. Not only that, I can''t see Delia selling our club to a porn merchant anyway.

It''s an intriguing arrangement if it goes ahead - Smith, who wanted to put a chapel in the club, and Sullivan, who would probably be happy to put a brothel in there.

Now then Young Bob - I''ve heard that Gold and Sullivan are great fans of Gunny''s management skills and will insist on him being re-instated when they take over.

There - Does that make you feel better!!

The clientele of each are far from mutually exclusive blah so it might prove to be quite a hit.
Things might get a little circular with the clientele popping out to confess their latest sin, before being tempted to commit another one.  Thats the trouble with blue pills, so I''m told... [:)]

Watched him on SSN today we fit the criteria he set out for the sort of club he would be looking for and Essex is not that far down the road.
Only problem there ricky is that people have already done the old AA planner and from Sullivan''s home to CR it is only about 3 or 4 miles less than the trip to Brum.

Don''t know if this was an old interview or not but I heard Sullivan on the radio today saying that due to the fact that he was fed up with travelling, he is only interested in clubs south of Watford.

Yes, Gold has been on SSN saying that he has no interest in going anywhere North of Watford, so maybe Delia should pick the phone up and grovel to the Malaysians who were supposedly interested until given short shift in the summer.

Maybe the pitch side rooms with a view at the Holiday Inn could be used???  [:^)]

Yeah am more positive and am starting to believe that it will be play-offs at least for us under Lambert.  [Y] [;)]

Was it you that I had the little bet with???

I am also enjoying the novelty factor of playing in the 3rd tier, but still praying it will be for just the one season only.  Have seen more football this season than I have at this stage since our promotion year I reckon.  Am gutted that we couldn''t manage to do the Carlisle game but am hoping that we may get our act together for a trip to Stockport for my 3rd away game this season and I am pretty certain that we are going to be at Southend on December 1st.

I am still living in fear that the boards inability to back Lambert could come back to bite us all in the bum though, so am trying not to get to carried away.  Win at Leeds on Monday night though and I think the expectancy levels at Carrow Road come the Swindon game may take the bleedin roof off!

There were reports at the time of seeing MWJ at the ground with someone in a business suit who looked ''Chinese'', showing him round and apparently discussing the land behind the Jarrold.  But even I would need more than that to conclude that D&M gave them short shrift.  Do you have inside info?

I think that you may be right with the Larry Lloyd affair Sideshow, ssshhhh! [:$]

Nice try Bloodwagon, but I know that it wasn''t you and that it was somebody based in the UK, as I remember having a little joke with them not long after Lambert came in about me being short of cash and would they settle for a couple of [B][B]''s.
