Salopian 1 Posted September 26, 2009 According to the commentators there was always daylight between Forster and the diver. We must appeal, of we have to put Rudd (or Theo?) in goal for the next match(es?).How many points have these bad decisions cost us this season? There seems sense in asking the league or FA why they do not allow camera replays. This would seem the only solution, if they can''t improve the quality of the referees. Yellow Rose of Texas 0 Posted September 26, 2009 Was Forster sent off for the "tackle" and "being the last defender" or for dissent?
Hooleyfan 0 Posted September 26, 2009 There was no dissent, the ref was adamant right from the incident that he was going to send Forster off...Forster appealed but not in any derogatory way, just as other players and Holt in particular, did. The ref was a complete cock!
king canary 7,605 Posted September 26, 2009 Sounded like Holt was taken out near the end as well, according to Radio Norfolk there was more contact than their penalty.
Hooleyfan 0 Posted September 26, 2009 Yes, we thought at the time that if the Forster decision had been correct, there was more than the same case to be made for us with the challenge on Holt... I suppose the difference was that the keeper challenged Holt right on the by line about 10 yards to the left of the goal, with no angle to score...and it was less than a minute from end of play, when his safety would have been seriously in jeopardy
