Devils Advocate. 0 Posted September 15, 2009 Why is it that when we win, we are odds on for promotion. When we lose we are bound to at least be relegated and possibly go into administration? We are wracked with insecurity now, what we need is an indication from the board that all is not about to implode, how would it be if Lambert and McNally were to give some idea that they are here for some while and not about to take the high road to better things. Would it be a good idea if Paul Lamberts contract were to be converted to a longer term than just the rolling one year contract he''s on at the moment ? First Jedi 0 Posted September 15, 2009 Why do you assume it''s the same people? It''s not - it''s two different sets. Each set pipes up after a result that supports their long term view.If we win, the group who thinks we''re going to get promoted, and always thinks we''re going to get promoted pipes up, and the other group predominant stays quiet, and if we loose... the opposite happens. [/quote]I agree there is a lot of insecurity about the club, but what can you expect after the drivel we have put up with for the past 5 or so seasons? It''s enough to try the patience of a saint. We have a lot of unsettling things happen, such as new managers every season, new players every season, relegation to the 3rd division for the first time in 50 years, hearing that financially the club is in the do-do''s.We have a mediocre team of players assembled under a manager that should never have gone for or been offered the job.The board have made so many cock-up''s with our beloved it''s not even funny anymore. It''s hardly a shock that fans feel jittery, or don''t know their backsides from their elbows.Fans will be happy when the team win, because for the past few seasons we haven''t enjoyed too many. And fans will feel down when we lose it''s natural. Football is a passionate game to support, when we don''t feel passion we may as well give up.
