With an average position of 82,931, the Pink ''Un is ranked 40,000 positions higher than the TWTD site ie. has considerably more traffic. The summer silly season sees the traffic rise to a peak comfortably inside the top 50,000 sites worldwide so all those Ameobi rumours weren''t such a waste of 0''s and 1''s after all though I doubt you actually use these figures to strengthen your advertsising position. Of course if you take into consideration that there are 82,930 porn sites in the world this actually proves the Pink Un to be the most popular site out there closely followed by Google and the Ebay/Paypal complaints page. FWIW the average position of the line does go up from left to right over the last three years.

This thread is remarkable.  5 pages of platitudes and point-scoring from the usual suspects, all because a weekly column is being axed.

Butler, CA - if you want to get involved in the discussion over on Kick It Off about the perceived declining standards and quality of the Pinkun messageboards, then why not sign up, make yourself an account, and get involved, rather than selectively copying and pasting LQ''s posts to suit your own agendas?

I would imagine that both of you have enough time, wits and intelligence to interact in a debate without resulting to pettiness, so why not come on over and prove yourselves worthy?  It would no doubt be a lively and enjoyable discussion, as long as the childishness is left at the door (along with dirty hob-nail boots).

Nice defence EM but I notice your attitude towards the Pinkun posters is little less than contempt.

LQ made statements that were again untrue and aimed at her usual targets. She does not like debate but sulks when challenged.

It is not just about a weekly collumn it has a far deeper reason. You are inteligent work it out.

By the way I am on Kick it Off but find it a bit too sanitised but look forward to it getting better as I am sure it will.

Are you that well informed as to know what Archants reasons are.

It does seem strange that a popular column(with a lot of readers) is axed at this particular time.

Could we not have a column from "insider" with his views direct from the board. I am sure no one would think it was propoganda.

True PC but his column, as I stated earlier, is still very popular so why axe it just at this time!

I am not into conspiracy theories as I think the club has enough problems to think about and deal with at present but we do seem to be losing some of the fans voices on the paper.

Some say that even Gedges weekly bit is under threat so other that Chris Lakey ,who will be left to speak in the papers about fans worries and thoughts.

So there may not be an underlying reason but from another view there might just be cause for concern.

OK I had to come over and have a look, its a bit like looking at a train crash.

I find it a bit sad that this thread is basically about concern with corporate agendas, yet a run-by-fans forum, that is evidently visited by many of you, is only being used to produce quotes to attack a fellow city fan.I find that quite depressing personally.

I am registered on there but there are only so many hours in a day to post ( on my favourite websites) and besides any opinions I have about the standard or quality of the pinkun site will be posted on here rather than elsewhere.

Threads that would have benefitted from knowlegable and level headed fans who could rise above the knee-jerk merchants who inhabit every internet based football discussion I''ve ever witnessed. Some posters raised some very good points on these subjects and they would have benefitted from more people with a basic knowledge of football debating these points. Perhaps you boys (and girls of course) from KIO aren''t up to it and that''s why you couldn''t find a thread that you felt comfortable joining in with. I am fed up that my favourite EDP column is to be axed. I did think of cancelling my order - but that would hurt my local village shop and the paperboy more than Archant. I will be writing to Archant to state my annoyance. Perhaps others who feel equally fed up could do the same?

seems like a lot of fuss over not very much. The column, after all, has

only partly disappeared.What fans should be looking out for is

any influence on what really matters, and that is the editorial policy

at Archant Towers towards NCFC on important issues.And the

obvious issue is the future ownership of the club. Over Cullumgate the

EDP''s editorial line was critical of the NCFC directors and sympathetic

towards Cullum. And as far as the news coverage was concerned, for

whatever reason, the tough questions that needed to be asked of him

when he went public (questions that even pro-Cullum fans were asking)

never were.Only after talks had broken down did the EDP pretend

to indulge in some journalism by firing off half a dozen or so

questions in the direction of Cullum''s retreating back. Questions which

he didn''t deign to answer.Despite that the EDP still backed

him. "The powers that be looked a gift horse in the mouth." And "an

open goal has been missed". Mixed metaphor overload. "Many fans will be
