hmmm it was Fleming who marked Beatie, Hasselbaink and Rooney in those games you mention, Malky done a grate job for us, but a football club evolves, and it Worthy judges Malky to not be good enough, because remember he seems him every day we dont, then ill stick with what Worthy goes by, we also have plenty of cover at center half so that is also no problem, Doherty, Shackle, Drury, Helveg, Holt, Edworthy, hmmm

At the end of the day, we as fans have no idea what goes on behind closed doors.  Worthy and the coaching staff see the players every single day and know what their capabilities are more than anyone.  Surely they, in conjunction with the player, should know what is best

Worthy, is the manager and knows what he''s doing but it does not make him beyond making mistakes. Unless Malky wants to go we should keep him as cover. He will always give 100% and obviously he can''t mark Henry , but put him against slow attackers and he could do a great job, strikers such as Geoff Horsefield and Duncan Ferguson, who need a battling centre half to keep em in check.

It is ludicrous to say that Holt, Drury, Edworthy, or Helveg would be as good as Malky if we throw them in at centre half, and Helveg is bad enough at right back. How come players like him deserve a chance to prove themselves and Malky doesn''t. Worthy is making a big mistake, Malky is part of our old guard of  solid, loyal players, and other players will resent how he''s been treated. If he''s simply not good enough why did we not get rid of him in the summer? or at least let him know he wasn''t gonna get a game. Malky has been a hero at Norwich and his treatment has been shambolic. If (heaven forbid) we do go down this season, do you expect players like Doherty, Charlton, Helveg, and Jonson to stay? at least 3 out of those 4 would be off, then we''ll need Malky, and we''ll have dumped him.

I''m glad Malky has told Coventry where to go. Let''s hope he is now given a fair chance to prove himself....

If we go down and doherty, Jonsson, Helveg and all go... why will we need Mackay? Presumably we can sign another centre half who isnt called Mackay? Playewrs come, players go, its a fact of football. As for getting up a petition to reverse a football decision made by worthington .... B******S. Hes done pretty well so far, and NOBODY on this site or any other could do better. This season is going to be tough enough without petitions and stuff.
