Yesterday's casualty

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how the old boy that fell over the railings of the away end onto the pitch yesterday and cut his head open is recovering? It looked really nasty. The emergency staff took an eternity to get the stretcher to him. Fantastic moment though when whilst been stretchered off and receiving oxygen he received a big round of applause and saluted the fans with a raised clenched fist of defiance.

Completely separate issue, and just to ensure guaranteed unpopularity on this board...wasn''t it great to here the woah Jamie Jamie chant being sung with passion - Curo deserved it yesterday, and we lost shape once daley came on.

The ''old boy'' in question is a work mate.  Does anyone have any video footage of it?  ha ha.  Serious, any footage, please let me know!
There are close to 50 of his work mates trawling youtube as I type!!
How tasteless and unpleasant but, sadly, not surprising.

Well I suppose it depends how close they are to him, his condition, whether or not he is in the mood for joking about it, type of work banter they usually have - a lot of things that they are more likely to know than us I suspect. Bit hard to condemn from what has been said on here imo.
Would you be doing the same if god forbid he''d had a heart attack? [:^)]  Or if that was your father, mother?
No, but then I know that he hasnt had either of those things!  It''s not tasteless, or unpleasent, its called friendly work banter.  Some of us including Darren have sense of humours.
[Y] I can''t believe how over the top some people on this message board are.The poor guy is hurt yes, but he fell over a railing and hit his head, he didn''t have a heart attack.  Banter with the work mates is justified in my opinion.

We just want to add this to his scrapbook of other injuries, including getting his ear caught in an escalator (dont ask)!

It was actually his pony tail that got caught but he had to be freed!  There are loads of escapades he has achieved over the years (normally drink related and NCFC away days) which is why his work colleagues (that all know he is ok and will be laughing at himself too) are desperate for either a picture or anything!
