james norwich 0 Posted August 19, 2009 I''m afraid he doesn''t give us the grit we were promised in the middle of the park. Whoever plays alongdide him is doing overtime. I fear we may have signed Fozzy Mk II.
Gary Football 0 Posted August 19, 2009 Get off his back! What is it with you people, always needing a player to bully?! Give him a fucking chance!!

Tetteys Jig 830 Posted August 19, 2009 did he make a pass in the right direction tho?
Crew Cut Wes 0 Posted August 19, 2009 IMO he''s a confidence player. He''s not used to losing so he''s not gonna play well until we start winning.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted August 19, 2009 Hmm, sounds like the excuse for Semmi, Fozzy, Theoklitos, Strihavka...... oh wait
Cantiaci Canary 556 Posted August 19, 2009 Without a doubt question marks over him are mounting. Again tonight he left you wondering what caught Gunn''s eye. He isn''t a good passer, he hasn''t got a huge amount of strength, he has little pace and he isn''t a goal threat. It''s early days and he deserves his chance. We must be patient but he has made a particularly poor start.
Longy 1 Posted August 19, 2009
ho ho! seriously, the boos he got tonight were disgusting.
He got booed? This is going to be a serious problem this season, that we are going to get on the back of the players far too early. He has played 4 sodding games for this club all in pretty trying circumstances, give the lad a chance.

If we are not careful we will be branded as punching above our weight, but I''m not even sure how well we would do in League 2 ( where Exeter have just come from ). ZLF 271 Posted August 19, 2009 Frankly its incredible he started. Shockingly bad against colchester, his injury against yeovil is the only reason we know that Hughes has some talent - would he have appeared otherwise. Yet despite that super little cameo and 2 further poor performances by Gill, Hughes is still on the bench.Same with Adeyemi, plays well against Yeovil and Exeter to find himself dropped. You have to go with your form players - yet we are sticking with inadequates.OTJ is no better either - a towering presence who does not get involved. Not good enough for a central midfielder. Lambert needs to buy/loan a partner for HUghes and quickly as this will provide the best protection for our shaky defence - by allowing us to go on the attack. Our inability to get the ball back in midfield, and then keep hold of it, is the main reason why we are losing games. No defensive shield and no attacking threat.
OTBC 0 Posted August 19, 2009 Completely agree with you. Gill gave the most anonymous central midfield performance I''ve seen since Brady and Carey against Exeter. Barely noticed him on the pitch, for me he provided nothing defensively, couldn''t pass the ball and didn''t get forward. No wonder our attack is toothless and our defence is soft, we need midfielders closing down for a start and ideally someone who could, just maybe, pass a ball!
