Priceless email from "Delia's Catering"

Delia''s Canary Catering are now offering remarkably good value packages for "budding detectives", "party animals", food and wine tourists, and of course, people who are far too concerned that there''s but "18 weeks ''til Christmas". What isn''t clear, however, is whether any of these groups must find their own way to Carrow Road. It may prove easier to pick them up from the station.

Somewhere amongst this smorgasbord of delight (remember: there''s something for everyone) we poor, long suffering "footie" fans also get a look in, presumably to take our minds away from our hand-blistering industrial labour. Considering this carousel of wonder is actually housed within a "footie" club, that''s satisfying and really very good to know. It would have been so easy for them to miss a trick!

For you ''footie'' fans...

We have two special football events giving you the opportunity to meet some of your all-time favourite football stars.

For just £20 a ticket, you can enjoy two of Britain''s top football pundits and a special Norwich City guest at Extra Time with Matt Le Tissier, Paul Merson and Iwan Roberts on Thursday 1 October. Included in this bargain ticket is a Pie and a Pint - book now on 0800 1300 543.

Meet some of Norwich City''s heroes and enjoy a three-course meal at our Hall of Fame Dinner

on Friday 13 November. Be the first to find out the new additions to

Norwich City''s prestigious Hall of Fame for £40 per person. Call 0844 826 1902 to book. *Special offer - book a table of ten and one person goes free!*

A more cynical commentator than myself might cast doubt over this "footie" club''s chief purpose; he might even claim it was Delia''s commercial vehicle.Fortunately, I''m way above such baseless, wanton criticism.
£20 to be bored to tears by Le Tiss and Merson?! You can get that for free on Soccer Saturday.
True, but on live TV there''s less chance of an alcohol/drug related relapse incident. At Carrow Rd it''s a dead rubber.
