Situation?

Recommended Posts

His number 1 target has been approached, they are at "advanced" stages but nothing can be confirmed, he is currently a manager of an English club already... that''s about it, and how dare you steal my avatar ;) haha

Right, well thats good then. Did he say whether he was at an English club in the capacity of manager or could we be looking at an assistant from a higher level wanting to take the step into management? Did they put a time window on it?

As for the avatar, what a goal!!! :D

agreed, cracking goal!

The question clearly given to McNally was something along the lines of "we understand the man you''re after is currently a manager at another english club?" and Mcnally''s answer was "yes" so that should rule out any assistants...

He merely said things were at an "advanced" stage but simply couldn''t commit to saying how long it would take from here... obviously with him being at another club still we may be waiting another few days.

A point to bear in mind is that there is a full programme of matches tomorrow. If he is a manager (or even a coach) in England but not in the Premiership then he will (or should!) be preparing his team. That might point to an announcement on Wednesday or Thursday.

Possibly but I can''t see it. Whoever it is, be it manager or assistant or coach, will be taking care of their matchday duties for their club tomoro if they have any degree of professionalism. If they don''t, do we really want them?!

He has been in lengthy talks now at an "advanced" stage, McNally also added he will continue to persuade him and lure him to Norwich so this could be a manager who is relatively settled at his club and may not 100% want to leave them?

If any championship/league one manager is absent tomorrow then that will be the biggest clue of all

Tisdale turned down Swansea and said he wanted to see things through at Exeter but that big clubs may come calling. Hmmm

Perhaps neither side will have a manager in the dugout tomorrow night?

He can stand in the middle of the two and look confused.

I thought that''s what Gunn had been doing for the past seven months?

Sean o Driscoll would fit the bill of a track record and is at a comparitively smaller club playing decent football and holding station in the championship. I would believe they would probably try hard to keep him though.

Also as regards Adkins, he shouldn''t be ruled out just on the strength of what his chairman says, he may want him to mastermind a win against middlesbrough tomorrow night and leave after that. He may have had permission but they aren''t letting on.
