Goals v Wigan here. Apologise if they been posted elsewhere, couldnt see them
What on earth was Donkerty doing for the first goal? That attempted tackle was terrible
Looked even worse live. N''Zogbia just dropped his shoulder and Doc went down like a redwood. Note also how Spillane simply stands off and lets him pick his spot. Getting caught square is also a bit of a worry as illustrated by the second goal. However, our overall defensive display was pretty good.

We were very sloppy for their goals and hopefully that won''t be repeated too often. However Prem sides do tend to punish you if you make a mistake like that and I don''t think League One teams will be quite so ruthless.

That was a sensational ball from Hoolahan. A 30-yard first-time crossfield pass. If one of the guys at the big teams did that people would be raving about it.

Wes was fantastic on Saturday (apart from disappearing up his own arse to gift them their first!). He really made us tick and looked up for the challenge. I think he''ll be key this year.

Surprised the video made it past copyrighters, if I had known it would I could have put them up sooner! (thats my brothers account, by the way)

I think Doherty wins the award for ''Most Sold Player In Pre-season Ever'' after his attempts with the first goal. He went down quicker than.... something.

The first goal was shocking all round - too easily lost in midfield, then Spillane is the defender who does nothing but back off,  leaving Doc with ground to cover  who foolishly swallows the dummy and dives to block.   For me the main problem in that goal is the usual NCFC problem in recent years - backing off from an on running player - clsoe him down a bit and the shot becomes so much more difficult to score from and Doc need not get involved.

Fortunately we will not face quality like that finish often this season.

To be fair, in the second half Spillane played very well, getting a few good tackles in there, but agree that the goal was made by us typically backing off.

Oh dear Doherty, that was very poor defending. I don''t want him anywhere near the side, he''s a liabilty.

You obviously didn''t go to the game, as you would have seen Wes Hoolahan try to dribble the ball out of defence as always and then lose it! Basically gifted the ball to N''zogbia, who is a Premier player, very quick, has a great left foot and he did Doc and Spillane. He made it look easy, but we''re not going to be up against players like N''zogbia in League One. Hoolahan was brilliant after that, so was Doc and we won the game!! Don''t complain people!!!

Doherty''s challenge is the type I used to make when I was a youth at carrow road lol, trying to anticipate the turn and merely block it off.. sadly it doesn''t work against players with a brain and two good feet, that type of challenge is youth football and sunday league, fuck know''s what the Doc was thinking! Spillane imo was doing a good job standing on his feet but was too square, not showing him wide giving him space to work inside, was early in the game so just hope neither of them had settled in.. mind you game kicks off a 3pm, that''s when they need to be ready not 3.06.

Thats was a disgustingly good pass from Hoolahan.

Nice finish by Martin for the 2nd goal also.
