nycanary 1 Posted September 24, 2004 i''ve just been thinking. we''re all talking about formations with pros and cons for the diamond; 4-4-2; 4-3-2-1; 4-4-1-1; 4-1-4-1 etc etc. and we''re talking about players not getting a chance to play like the swedes or leon and macca.but i think that all our problems are fundamentally with a quality striker signing in the next transfer window.in that situation, whatever formation we play; diamond or 4-4-2 will be much more effective and I think that depending on the situation, NW will be able to switch seamlessly between each one and be left no worse off.
