HELP..... YOUR BET TOMORROW???

Recommended Posts

I always bet last goal scorer with a small stake, longish odds and keeps the interest going for the full 90

Doc & Martin are the names i''ll be putting a couple quid on

Others are all accumilators i work out in the morning of the match

always go for 1-0 if bettingg first goal/last goal.. because in a 1-0 the first goal IS the last goal so you win 3 times....

Centerbacks are always a good bet... target for corners etc.... if you have a defensive super weapon (EG David Unsworth, the former Wigan and everton Defender, with penalties) then bet on them EVERY week... you make more than you lose over the course of a season.... the odds are usually pretty good as well... i used to always bet on either flemmo or Malky.

I think I am going to have to revise my betting strategem from last year as made a lot of money betting on us to lose!

I am a big fan of the scorecast bets - first scorer and correct score.  Also like the random bets like the team to win the first corner - always bet on the side with the largest odds and generally come out ahead.

Betting is a great way to add interest to random televised games!

bet in play on TV games is always good fun.. bet on a team to score "next goal" just as the ref awards them a penalty... you sometimes have to be quick as some Bet in play sites stop this sort fo thing once a penalty is awarded... most penalties are scored.. so you should make a few quid.

I normally just do the accumulator styles, but I tend to do doubles or trebles for £5, £10, £15 or £20 which pay between £30 and £100 (depending on stake and odds).

In theory you are better to do singles and doubles. If you picked one team every week and put £20 on them you would probably end up in profit by the end of the season. Norwich are 8/11ish (I think 4/5 is best price) so if you put £20 on them you would get about £34.55 return.

Bookies love the people who do £5 on 6 or 7 teams because they dont come in often (unless you do Celtic, Rangers, Barcelona etc every week - but then you get bad odds).

As long as you keep your stake consistent you should be ok. I am thinking of doing a Middlesborough (11/10)  to beat Sheffield Utd and Cardiff (4/6) to beat Scunthorpe double this weekend. A £10 double pays £35.

Anything where you double your money is a success, don''t get greedy and don''t play on the machines in bookies.

Hi, my name''s John and I''m a gambler.  I used to put 50p each way on the Grand National once a year. I won once so I started putting £1 on the National, the Derby and the Gold Cup.  Soon my attention turned to football where I realised I could get a nice return on my £5 every week with all sorts of wonderful bets.  With the dawn of the internet I soon found the Poker and Casino''s were much more accessible and I could play more often than my monthly trips to Vegas (of course the wife thought I was away working).  She soon twigged though when she found the hotel receipts from Cape Town where I''d attended the Mandela Cup (World Championship Giant Snail Marathon) which I attend every year since I''d bought a stake in the favourite.  She also became mildly suspicious when the mortgage company started phoning daily and the car disappeared from the driveway on the back of a truck.  She did stick around though bless her, until she had her credit card confiscated at the checkout in Lidl.  Now she and the kids live in Cheltenham with some poncy guy called Jeremy who actually owns a few racehorses, oh well I guess he got lucky.  That''s life. I do have a lovely bedsit in Ipswich now, right near that football ground.

Hi my name is John and I''m an alcoholic............
...jas, you forgot to mention that it''s twice your stake and you really don''t win THREE times. Good one with centre halfs though. I like to find lo scoring defensively sound teams, especially with striker problems....................................Everton 1-0 Cahill made me pretty pennies last year.

very very good advice. People are for ever complaining they were only

one away on their accas - they dont remember putting that ''one extra''

on the acca before striking the bet - greed helps bookies a lot. People dont realise that it''s only in the past few years that you can actually just get a single on a footie match - used to be MINIMUM trebles unless there was a live game (you could single that).

Sheff utd are going to beat boro (Evans to score)

Thanks. I think Boro at home and with a relatively unchanged team will be strong this season until they lose some of their better players.

If you cant afford to do bigger stakes on single bets then another good tip is to mix sports or use the handicap betting (on live games only). I often do a horse in a double with a football game (as horses are often better prices and can bump your winnings up quite a bit).

Last season backing teams like Barcelona -1 goal (so they have to win by two clear goals) was just as good as backing the straight up cos they scored so many goals.

Personally I quite like the odditys in betting will there be a pen in 90 mins or time of first yellow card? Always worth a few pence.

F1 is the safest betting you can have though.

Haha, hindsight is a wonderful thing in gambling, but you need to know your limits and take the losses on the chin and enjoy the wins.

Good luck to you too pal, hopefully we will both be richer on Monday morning!

Spookily I have just published the latest betting odds for the match!   I am very much liking the look of city to win 3-1 with odds of 12/1.

You can get 17/1 on Betfair for 3-1, you may get even closer to 20/1 as more people put money up and the book gets better.

Usually do a small stake accumulator of around 8-10 teams on a Saturday morning. Came in a couple of times last season and won over £100 twice for a £1 stake - just a fun bet really and keeps the interest there! A win usually covers the stake over the season too which is nice!

At the game I''ll go for a scorecast, again only small stakes.

Tomorrow''s bet:

Holt 1st Goal 3-0 £2 Stake

Nelson Last Goal 3-0 £2 Stake
I''ll certainly enjoy watching the game now even though boro are mido and downingless. Score draw or 1-0 Utd (Evans)

Good luck for all your bets - all season.

Speaking of bets, dont know why I should share it with the enemy but those of you that like a punt, Scottish 3rd Division, Forfar Athletic 11/4 or 3/1 in places are an absolute cert, ive followed them as my "other team" for years and know a fair bit about the scene up there. they had a big cash windfall last season and have bought very well (at this level). Played 2 higher league teams in cups away last two saturdays and beaten them both easily, So there you go, license to print money, I''ll remind you in May.
