Gentleman Jim

They think we're thick

Recommended Posts

Hey ! just looked on the Liverpool site to see how they view their prospects against us. The topic was what will our score be against Norwich ? Here is one of the letters :-

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = ==

"Phsycobyrne

I don''t care what the score is as long as we win.
I am just excited about getting the chance to sing my favourite football song again,

I can''t read, and I can''t write, but that don''t really matter,
''cos I come from Norwich Town, and I can drive a tractor. "

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = =   = = = = = = = = = = = = == = =

Can anyone compose a song for our singers at the match to chant an apt reply ?

Don''t get too hung up on this...I''m sitting at work in sunny Liverpool at the moment and despite all the grief I am getting it is easy enough to shut up the red half of town by mentioning the Jerry Goss goal...at which point they all get philosophical and start saying how its always good to watch Norwich as they play good football etc.

I just hope so much that we do beat them tomorrow as I would love to rub their red noses in it!!!

My favourite EVER football memory (promotion aside) is:

Norwich 2 Liverpool 1

Drinkell: scoring in 88th (ish) minute It had the dual effect of

1) wiping the scouser smiles away

2) robbing those annoying fans who leave grounds too early. BRILLIANT!!!!!

Lets hope that by the weekend it will be my second favourite memory!!

Cant wait, til we go there tommorrow and it seems such a long time since
this one came out.......

''you look in a dustbin
find something to eat
''you find a dead rat and you think its a treat''
''in your liverpool slums''.......

seems ages since we sang this.

Anfield is another morgue of a Premiership ground. They dont sing anymore since the Kop went.

If we''re into anfield memories Barham and O''Neill 2 -0 to the yellows and Martin''s was at least 35 yards out. What an afternoon.

First time I took my wife to be to a football match as well! I took the hint/omen!!
