At last, someone speaking sense!

I just can''t believe we now have ''Worthy out'' and ''Delia out'' posts now.

Nigel is not stupid, he will learn from that game and hopefully he''ll change the system. When we went to 4-4-2, we looked so much better, alright we had 2 shots on goal yesterday, one on target and the other not, but Liverpool looked class yesterday. They have spent £24m on 2 players this season!! We''ve probably spent £2m at the outside!!!!!

STOP MOANING!!!! GET BEHIND THE TEAM AND RESULTS WILL IMPROVE!!!!!!!!!!!

The next 10 games are the ones when we should be picking up most of the points!!

What is wrong with people, So what if we go down this year!! The football club won''t stop existing, we''ll have 99% of the players still here, maybe not Greeno, but it''ll mean we''ll be in a stronger position next year to come straight back up and have a load of money to spend on players!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rant over

yes, that''s right, anyone offering constructive criticism is a "moaner". who''s not supporting the team? we all are - but sometimes things need to be said. just recently worthy has lost the plot with this stupid diamond formation and his refusal to leave gary holt out of the team - even it means playing him on the left of the midfield diamond.

why bother having a message board if people are not allowed to voice their opinions?

How is it constructive critisism to have have Delia out posts and suggest Worthy will have to go if we don''t win in 3 games type drivel? Critisising players, tactics, suggesting formatins etc, that is constructive.

I have seen two people - probably on a wind up - with "worthy out" or "delia out" posts. get a sense of proportion mate. 99.9% of "moaners" are just concerned at how totally inept we were yesterday and have been since the diamond formation was introduced.

and why do people feel the need to fill their posts with these stupid things? are people really that thick that they can''t understand when someone''s telling a joke or asking a question?

Just out of interest, the bookie on SSN on Friday afternoon was showing the odds on the next manager to be sacked.  Megson is current favourite at 8/11, Dowie was about sixth in the list at 25/1 and Worthy was....nowhere to be seen!!!  Discuss!

Of course he''s not going to go - even if we were to go back down. Did anybody really EXPECT anything out of yesterday rather than HOPE for it? Big difference there!

Sure I was depressed driving home, I''ve posted concerns in particular after the Bristol Rovers game, and will copntinue to do so because I care and have an opinion which after 40 years (and god knows how much cash) invested in following this frustrating team. But all the while I''ve believed passionately that because we have some lows the highs are that much higher, and because our expectaions are more realistic than moaning Manc''s or Scousers or whoever the same applies.

All we can do is remain entitled to our opinions, keep on supporting the team and NOT get on their backs next Saturday - they know how important it''ll be to start getting some wins under the belt without us adding to it.

The fat lady hasn''t even woken up yet - let alnoe started warming up for her song!

This isn''t the time to start panicking. If we all agree that we are going to end in the bottom half of the table, people need to look at the statistics.

Using last years final premiership table as an example, sides that finish in the bottom half don''t win more than 2 to 4 games away from home. They don''t beat sides in the top 6 at all (home or away). One exception last year was Newcastle who finished 5th and only won 2 away!

looking at our fixtures, we played 5 of last years top 6 in the first 7 games, so at best we were only going to have 5 points by now, assuming we lost at Newcastle and beat Palace (which we didn''t, and which to me remains the one disappointment so far).

Looking ahead, October is the start of a really crucial run. The next 12 games look critical, and it''s going to be vital to be almost safe by March, because the run in is almost a mirror image of the start, the difference being that the top 6 will be scrapping for the title, europe etc.

So to summarise, the season starts next week, stay positive, don''t panic and above all keep the faith, what everyone needs now is the kind of support which took us up.
