I thought Clingan, Hoolahan etc would all be off and we''d struggle to sign anyone decent because of our financial situation. I have however been very surprised and pleased with who we have got in. Assuming Wiggins and Holt sign thats 8 very decent players weve got, Maric hopefully too and the squad will be complete. For me Gunn has done exceptionally well to bring these players in. Everyone weve signed i think will do well in League 1. Weve bought players appropriate to our situation, needs and financial constraints.I feel Butterworth has been instrumental in the recruitment process as well, with his experience of League 1 he knows what type of player we need to compete. Our signings have reflected this. Nelson and Holt (hopefully), big strong brick walls. Tudor Jones, another brick wall. Gills a fighter and a winner. Hughes another tough tackler.I can see a big strong back 4 and midfield supporting the likes of Whaley, Hoolahan, Cody and Martin etc. Last season we had little boys in our defence, Bertrand, Omozusi, Grounds etc, and the defence looked weak. Well done Gunny, so much better than last seasons effort of Sibierski, Omozusi, Koroma, Grounds, Kennedy etc...Last point being that Gunns signings are all permanent, young, hungry, and will hopefully form part of a strong united team for the next few seasons, AND THEY SEE NORWICH AS A STEP UP, NOT A RETIREMENT HOME, PENSION FILLER OR SHOP WINDOW!!!This will benefit the team immensely to have this type of player on board rather than the above.
