The next week.

Recommended Posts

I am going on holiday tomorow for a week, so that means a week without the internet to see how my team is getting on.  So then, what do we reckon will happen in the next.  Friendly tomorow (saturday), another chance to see how our new squad is shaoping up, and I think this is the last match team Gunn will give Maric before they decide to keep him or not, will he sign?  With our last game in Scotland coming up, will Whaley be revealed before we depart, personally I think so.  Will we sign another striker (other than Maric) before the week is up, Alan Lee, Grant Holt?  Will we get that other central midfielder we need?  We have another friendly vs Dereham a good chance to see our youngsters, and to cap of this promising week the United youth team are coming and with that the chance to see stars of the future perhaps.

Do we agree this week might be very important in our pre-season?

By around Monday or Tuesday you will announce contract offers to some of your triallists.

Gunn said on CW that we will wait untill we get back to Norwich before making offers.

I also think he wants to see some of the players in the last game on Saturday

Of course.  They get back to Norwich, Team Gunn sit down and thrash it out.

Cam, I sincerely hope you''re right. I think he could be exactly what we need, particularly the fans. He really has the potential to be a cult hero and the player that ignites some excitement to put relegation firmly behind us.

If he has the desire and hunger to give it everything even in league 1, he''s worth a contract.

Whilst I appreciate he may be worth a contract (based on the two decent performances he''s put in for us) I think the term "cult hero" is a tad far fetched at this time!

Not really, dave striker was for 6 weeks or so and he was garbage. Lupoli had the same enthusiastic support without really doing much at all. Seems all you need is a European name and the fans are attracted.

To be fair mate, I apprecitate that. My PC password is still "strihavka", just one of those things. I think it''s natural to want someone who has come out of their comfort zone and excel at a higher level. He''s got a lot to prove but he''s got the potential to make his mark here.
