Except that neither Cureton or Russell were good enough the first time round, whereas McVeigh was one of our best players for three years?

I can give you examples of where ''going back'' has worked perfectly fine, not that I expect such a one track minded individual to think with any reason whatsoever. I will name one anyway though....... Jason Shackell.

Considering his form at Stoke I thought Russell would turn out to be a good signing.  He seems to be the sought of player who likes a sulk, and, the knowledge that if he had stayed at Stock he''d probably be playing the Premier League now can''t help.
