Old Shuck 183 Posted July 10, 2009 Playing devils advocate...If we had taken a really bad approach and attitude to Dartford, refused a friendly and tried to shaft them, then, eventually sent a team of triallists and yourh players, didn''t play Cody, took the piss and put ourselves about as a bunch of bastards...?And ceased being "nice" altogether, wherever we were and whoever we were playing-in attitude and approach?Would that mean we''d fare better and achieve more?Hmm. . 0 Posted July 10, 2009 The worst part about it all is that it didn''t just happen by accident! It was all part of Smith''s "vision" for the club and the sugary-isation of the brand to suit her media persona.I think it will stick now until there is a complete regime change and we''re no longer nice to play against....... No. A reputation for being friendly and helpful to lower league clubs will cost little if anything and may help us in recruiting players from that level.People seem to confuse being "nice" off the pitch with being a pushover on it. Mr.Carrow 376 Posted July 10, 2009 I seem to remember a certain D.Dublin using that word as a criticism of NCFC on two seperate occasions, suggesting that the entire club needed to toughen up. I don`t think his comments sunk in....

Smith''s ''vision'' and sugary-isation, you couldn''t make it up, well you could obviously. Two pensionsers have ballsed up a football club and now can''t get their money back, that''s all. I can''t believe the level of hate that you and and a few others have for her and the conspiracy theories and overblown plans and strategies you claim she has devised. ? 20 Posted July 10, 2009 We could, of course, be one of the less ''nice'' sides in the country, such as Millwall or Leeds, and still find ourselves in the same boat. Our being nice has no bearing on our on the pitch ''success''.

I actually rarely use Facebook but if the idea that I''m a spotty youth spending many hours on social network sites helps you sleep without worrying if your bag is full then I''m happy too. I will point out again though, that you never talk about football only about how much you hate the board, you have no idea about the team or their performances yet you spend hours on here putting 90% of the board down and sycophantly applauding your 5 mates. Also you''re no genius despite shouting loudest and you also often misspell simple words. But hey, it keeps me amused and you seem to make Herb chuckle too.
