Not sure about no 1 but why would they announce no 2................As the transfer window has just opened it''s far better to let other clubs and players agents think we don''t have as much cash as we do.
Why would we advertise how much money we have to all the clubs ? Just so they can up there prices!!Thats just plain silly !!!!You like me are just going to have to wait and see, who comes in and if the price is advertised. (which i cant see)
PurpleCanary 5,554 Posted July 3, 2009 I mentioned this as soon as they were announced, but it is hard to keep track of all the threads on this subject!Unless I am very much mistaken neither McNally nor Phillips is particularly wealthy in footballing terms. Bowkett certainly made several millions on at least one deal back in the 1990s, although may have frittered that all away by now!Which doesn''t really answer your question about how much they might have to put in, but Bowkett would be the one to keep an eye on.Moreover what is true is that in terms of having heavyweight contacts in the City (and so potentially attracting OUTSIDE investment) Bowkett is a much more likely figure than Roger Munby. IllawarraCanary 0 Posted July 3, 2009 If we were to become to football what Redrow # are to houses I think it would be a giant leap forward. Or a return to where we were in the golden days. # i.e. Not the biggest but strong on quality. Were Redrow shirt sponsors for some team or other?
