He`s been in a coaching role at the Academy for a long time, apart from the aftermath of Roeder incident, I  know  from  personal experience  that he  is a really good coach  and works well with the boys, I  think this is a  good move. Yet another example however of  Gunn surroundinng himself  with his old mates, is this a good strategy, if it all works out well then I  suppose so  but I`m just begininng to get the feeling thats it`s a bit unhealthy, no real reason as to why, just a feeling.

I agree, he is coaching the u18`s on merit.  The wider point was about Gunn being surrounded by his mates, is this a good thing, I have concerns about this, what happens when tough decisions have to  be made?

Whilst I take your point, as singular, Neil Adams has been there a long long time and as such should''nt be put under the banner of ''Gunny''s mates''.  Yes, fair enough I''m sure he''s a friend of Gunn''s but he''s not someone who has ''just'' been brought in, if you see my meaning.
