The Nest and Newmarket Road

yeah, as I said earlier, before Notcutts sold off some land for housing, Daniels Nurseries occupied virtually all of both sides of Daniels Road, maybe I was slightly wrong about that particular corner which is the sports fields

While unsuccessfully searching the Plunkett''s wonderful archive (http://www.georgeplunkett.co.uk/Website/index.htm) for pictures of the Nest, I stumbled upon a photograph of Carrow Road, taken on 14 September 1935. Our opponents that day were Leicester City, who beat us 2-1.

The Newmarket road ground is now a sports field for local posh school... the cottage where the players changed is still there.... you cant miss it.

i was disappointef on a recent visit to the city that the old dressing rooms at newmarket road had finally been demolished. for many years they had been the groundsmans shed. i think thry were still in use in the 90''s the last bit of the old ground.
