Pete Raven 276 Posted June 11, 2009

Real Madrid are not a business and thus money has to come from some place so you have to worry about the brains for what they are doing long term.

real splash £130M in one week!!
Real splash £130m of the bank''s money.
This is Spain we are talking about, its a bit different.Barca and Madrid are bigger in spain than the top 4 are here. One of the practical upshots of this is thart no bank operating in spain dares try and get its money back from either team for fear that the fans will cause a run on them, like northern rock, but for football reasons. So Real and Barca can borrow to splash the cash while sure that if they can''t make repayments they won''t get foreclosed on. Much safer than for english clubs.
Indeed, plus the £135m in TV domestic league rights each season, and the £50m donation (again the bank''s money) just to stand as a presidential candidate. Wembley_Canary 0 Posted June 11, 2009 As much as I dislike Ronaldo it''s still a shame to see him go because he''s easily one of the top 3 players in the world, and a joy to watch. Without him the EPL is left with very few major football names like La Liga now has.
