Are We Actually Signing Him Then? Or Is It Jusr A Rumour?
There hasn''t been  an announcement there is to be a press conference as yet, so I would tend to treat it as a rumour
Carl Cort number 2. Injury ravaged career. Come to Norwich and we will pay you a fortune to sit in the physios room for months on end.
A certain Dion Dublin had two career threatening injuries in his career and wasnt half bad for us was he?

Craig Bellamy has had a couple as well, but would you turn him down? West Ham got enough points out of his 20 games a year to want to keep hold of him.

It is a risk, of course its a risk, but im sure we are smart enough to give him a good medical assessment. If he gets another one then its probably the end of the road for him, if he doesnt then its a top top signing for nothing. As long as we dont stick him on a 5 year contract then there is no real risk.

I wish people would think before making these sort of comments, all football clubs and players have insurance, and are able to claim back up to 75% of wages for players with long term injuries. Yes the insurance policy would be a little pricey, but then we arent paying a fee, so im sure that would be factored into the contract that we offer him.

Would be an ambitous signing in my eyes.

i am really surprised a championship club hasn''t gone in for him... in fact until i see him holding up a norwich shirt next to gunny i will worry one might come and get him.

great post, exactly right.  Having looked through some  news archives for this guy he is very highly rated, in fact in was only a year ago that martinez predicted that he will one day captain wales. I personally think this would be a terrific signing so fingers crossed it comes off.

Presumably he''d be Croft''s replacement and with Gill in for Clingan it now just remains to replace Hoolahan unless he''s here until January. Potentially a very good signing as long as he keeps clear of injury.

I''ll seriously re-think the whole ''Gunn is a bad manager'' thing if we land this guy. He''s a very good player and if we get him on a free beating off Championship teams, I''ll be happy. Add Colin Doyle into the mix and I''ll be very happy.

Rumours are only rumours but good on you Gunny...

The thing with Gunn is that his player aquisitions are fairly astute in theory. Carney, Gow, Killen, Lee, and supposing he was behind some of Roeders aquisitions as chief scout, he''s honestly quite good at spotting players that ''should'' do well for us. And for the time Gunn was not chief scout in Roeders reigime, we brought in some brilliant players as well.Only problem is in practice it just doesn''t work for us, be it for bad management from the staff, or bad attitude on the players behalf. When we brought in Bell, Hoolahan, Clingan, and Stefanovic, with Kennedy on loan last season i was in dreamland. The talent in those players, individually, is a class above ''almost'' every player we''ve had for about a decade. Admittedly some would be lacking in a few aspects, like physique, but at their utmost best they could all cut it in the Premier League, of that i''m sure. However, as we were to find out, they were utterly hopeless for us on the ''pitch'' last season (bar Clingan, and some snippets of good performances from various other players). And i''m afraid to say this is why Gunn we''ll never cut it as a manager.Theoretically he gives the impression he knows what he''s doing, but like Roeder, his management ability is far from impressive when put into practice. And that, i''m sorry to say (and i honestly don''t take pleasure in saying this at all), is why we will never be promoted, or indeed experience 1, sole, reasonably successful with him as manager. It hurts, but we''re stuck down here in League One until we find an owner who can supply what would at least be an OK manager with a decent budget, or we find a man who can work miracles with shoestring budgets, as we "continue to cut our cloth accordingly".

Wales international midfielder Owain Tudur Jones has signed a three-year deal to join Norwich City.

The 24-year-old was out of contract at Swansea City, but as the Swans had an option for another year on his deal, they could command a fee.

Neither club will confirm how much Jones cost, but it is understood to be in the region of £250,000.

Tudur Jones, who spent two months on loan at Swindon Town last season, was with Swansea for four years.

The 6ft 4ins player becomes Norwich''s second summer signing after midfielder Matthew Gill as the Canaries prepare for life in League One.

Tudur Jones, who joined Swansea from Welsh Premier League side Bangor City for £10,000 in 2005, made fewer than 50 appearances for Swansea in four injury-ravaged years at the Liberty Stadium.

At one point the Welshman went to the United States to receive treatment by knee specialist Dr Richard Steadman to cure a career-threatening injury.
