Camuldonum 0 Posted June 4, 2009 Basically this is a British consortium with interests in the Middle East. The driving force behind it was born and bred in Nottingham and was commercial director of Everton for a while.http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/homenews/Exclusive-Middle-Eastern-consortium-takeover-Notts-County/article-1046393-detail/article.html

Old Shuck 183 Posted June 4, 2009 CT has hit the nail on the head. There might be far more chance of investment or a takeover of this club if the "qualifications" of those wishing to come onboard were not so strict. I still find it amusing -sadly so- that our joint majority shareholder, born in Woking and living in Suffolk seems to think that only Norfolk people are fit and able to become part of her Empire.I am sure that, even if a potential Norwich investor had the same background, well it would all go against him or her-"British" for a start, not Norfolk, tut tut-and "Middle East", well, that rules them out, we want people familiar with sands of NW Norfolk, not Saudi Arabia...off you go.Perhaps they''re still waiting for that offer from Banham Poultry?I still think they''ll be our next kit sponsors, and, if anyone is clever enough to superimpose their image onto one of our shirts...well, would you buy it?
