There will be plenty of clubs in a higher division than us who will just be looking at out-of-contract and free players. A lot have these players have been released due to economics, not because they are  sh*te.  Firt Wizard and Smudger should get real, this is the harsh reality of life outside the Prem for ALL clubs.

Yeah we are repel like two magnets that never get turned the right way. Actually First Wizard, we do share one particualar view, which you always seem to forget. I am actually Anti-Delia, yet you always seem to believe that I am pro-board. I am very anti-board, its just that I cant quite reach your levels of negativity for some other things. It will only take a bad start to the season though.

Problem is, i dread to think the kind of wages some of the better players on that list would ask for - we''re supposed to be reducing our wage expenditure!

It doesnt matter how much they ask for, we should offer them what we can afford and they can see if they get a better offer. The last thing we need is a bidding war for average players, I keep saying it but we should just offer loads of good players a contract on our terms and see who comes back and shakes hand. The last thing we need is another Fozzy or Lappin sitting in the reserves earning 6k a week.

One year contracts for anybody over 30, £3k maximum a week for any free agent, push the boat out for Alan Lee or equivalent.

There are a lot of goalkeepers on that list, we should be able to pick up one of those, I would go for Ian Bennett or Darren Ward.

Offering one year contracts to players who are 30+ is a big risk. They want financial and family security and they are unlikely to get that on a one year contract. We would be better off offering less in wages but longer contracts. Its a risk but so is more wages for one year as you could end up with free-loaders only interested in one more year of a good wage.I would agree if you are talking about players that are 32-33 because they will be expecting one or two year contracts tops. But there are plenty of players these days that are playing until they are 35, 36 and 37.  Some even at the top level.A good example is Stefanovic - it seems that he wants to stay and spend the last few years of his career here. It also looks like he would accept less money for stability and reassurances. So why not re-negotiate? Asses his injury over the summer and then take it from there. He is a player that has quality so why not keep him.Omosuzi I would go for purely because he knows the club. Whether or not he would want to drop to league one is the point as I am pretty sure he would have been straight here if we were still Champ although I am not sure if he is good enough for the Champ yet - his performances were not brilliant last season.Goes to show that there are good freebies out there if the club can wheel and deal.

You are either fake or a complete tool. The only Man Utd player on that list has played 17 games on loan at Royal Antwerp, 7 games on loan at Rangers, 13 goals on loan at Stoke, 12 games on loan at Plymouth, 6 games on loan at Sheff Utd and 13 games on loan at Nottm Forest.

The only Arsenal player on that list made his full premiership debut about 4 weeks ago in a game that Arsenal won 4-1.

Well the Arsenal player is a goalkeeper for a start, and myth surrounding league one is stupid, as simple as. If you are good in the championship then you can be better in league one. Its a different standard, a lower one.

I''m glad you said that, because it is preposterous to say exp in Championship is no good in league one, i''ve never heard such rubbish in all my life!

All this you need a big man to score goals and just need to lump it forwards and hope for the best... if we play that way we definitely will stay in Div 1. We have to stick to footballing principles no matter the size of the player, else we might just as well as get a load of brickies in and put football shirts on them.

I did acknowledge that the list was riddled with mistakes, but thats more to do with agents not updating their clients details.
