Noseybonk 0 Posted May 13, 2009 Regardless of whether Gunn should have been appointed (for what it''s worth, if they were going to go for the cheap option, then it should have been Butterworth), wouldn''t it have made more sense to wait until the new boord members were in place? The timing appears to suggest the new board members will have no more say in the way the club is run than Mumby did. Glutton for Punishment 0 Posted May 13, 2009 Exactly. Delia Smith has always run the show and always will. The rest of the board members, of which no doubt we will be introduced to two new Churchill dogs soon, are there to make up the numbers and tell Delia how wonderful she is. Hucks 96 0 Posted May 13, 2009 Yes but it is clear that they isn''t going to be any further investment. The appointment today means any hope of Delia and hubby moving aside has gone. However they were talking to is not interested. We might get some local business man worth a few million adding a few hundred thousand to the pot, but it isn''t going to be a buy out now. Wembley_Canary 0 Posted May 13, 2009 Delia calls the shots, no one is allowed to have any say in how she chooses to play with her toy,.
Rustys 1st Touch 0 Posted May 13, 2009 The timing is also an attempt to reduce the impact of the NCISA meeting tomorrow. Cynical cynical tactics.
Soldier on 160 Posted May 13, 2009 Indeed it is. However it has succeeded in doing the opposite. Vote of no confidence in Delia & Co and we must come up with a strategy to force her out because she''s going nowhere otherwise
BRAVEHEART 0 Posted May 13, 2009 What is it going to take people, for the majority of City fans., to stop pussy footing around, and go all out with every thing possible to get Smith & Jones to leave this club. Why hasn''t the same effort been used as it was in the Chase out days!We blame previous managers & Doncaster, they were Smith & Jones puppets, & now used as the real culpret''s scape goats. Before anyone comes up with ''''well who have we got to take over if they go''''. That is not the point more pressure has got to be put on Smith & Jones to find someone so they have no choice but to sell their shares. If carrying on unchallenged they will kill Norwich City, we are already a joke in the football World. They have to be shown they can''t stay much longer. So please lets make a real start & effort at the meeting tomorrow.
