Does this kill any future takeover/investment?

Recommended Posts

After the news that Munby and Doncaster had stepped down yesterday, many people on here believed that a potential takeover or investment from a new board member would be imminent, surely Gunns appointment as manager just about kills any hope of that happening now.. No way would a potnetial investor/owner allow the club to appoint Brian Gunn as manager if he/she was about to invest in the club, only Delia and the rest of our predictable and clueless board could see sense in this appointment.

So can we now forget about any future takeover happening as a result of Munby & Doncaster stepping down?...

The big question is, if there was someone, would the goal posts be widen again,  it''s her toy and she won''t let go lightly. Could that be a reason why no-one has come forward, they have to fight the Cook

Or the rumours of a Foulger consortium takeover could be true and he backed the Gunn decision.

Yes JF, although it''s obviously not just a rumour anymore. If any of you who are throwing the insults on the thread about D&M on Radio Norfolk had actually listened to the interview you would have heard them say that Foulger has commited lots of money to the Club in the past and is currently talking to others with a view to continuing this. There you go - that''s the Foulger Consortium confirmed and he obviously did back Gunn.

Nope... the naughty minority will be told they should be supporting Ipswich blah, blah, blah, blah, blah and we will find ourselves in the Blue Square in a few years if we are lucky (unlucky and Delia will have destroyed the club so much that there really will be no buyers out there when the inevitable administration rears it''s ugly head on her).

I hope that she is personally prosecuted for all the debts if this does occur, for running an insolvent business with her head buried up her husbands arse and his buried firmly in the sand.

You can see the Ipswich fans pi55ing themselves now can''t you Smudger?  I pray we don''t meet them in one of the cups, you can just imagine some of their chants, eg "going down again", "you''re going to do an Oxford" etc etc

Well that''s odd.I thought the title of this thread said "takeover/investment"?A complete and immediate takeoever would be very costly even if Delia were to give her shares away. A drop in her holding below a certain point would initiate various loan repayments. A gradual increase in ''investment'' from another source via this consortium would not - at least not in the short term when we need every penny to build a squad. Being realistic in the current climate I''d rather see that than a pittance left after the Turners and the banks have had their cuts.
