The 1992-1993 norwich squad

Recommended Posts

I cant find details of the squad at all, does anybody know where I can find it on the net?

Obviously I can remember the most prominent players, but would be handy to find a list. Otherwise, this is what I have got so far:-

Bryan Gunn

John Polston

Ian Culverhouse

Ian Butterworth

Mark Bowen

Colin Woodthorpe

Rob Newman

Jeremy Goss

Ian Crook

David Phillips

Chris Sutton

Ruel Fox

Mark Robins

Scott Howie?

Ideally, I need a link to a squad list or some stats, its shocking that I cant find one really.

Unless anybody has a programme at close reach, so that they could help me out?

The thing is, apart from Sutton, perhaps, none of these players really set the world alight in the Premiership BUT they worked so well as a team. It was a case of the whole being worth more than the sum of the parts. That was what I found so appealing about the NCFC squad od the late ''80s & early ''90s in that we had a squad of quite good players that formed and exceptionally good team.

Efan Ekoku? are you sure?

We didnt beat any of those european teams in 92/93, we beat them in 93/94 obviously.

I would say that Ruel Fox set the world alight that season, he destroyed everybody, and £2.25m then was the equivalent of £10-£15m now.

I was at both those matches!!!

92/93 was the season where the third division (or league 1 as it is now) contained the likes of...

Stoke, bolton, west brom, reading, fulham, burnley, hull, wigan......

How old are you? I was only 8 or 9 at the time but I certainly remember Ruel Fox and Mark Robins being key components of the first team, not the reserves!
